Same thing happens to me. I use to work at a sawmill as a cleaner. We used air hoses as a means of quickly removing dust and chips.
You hit a pocket and it channels all the dust back at your face. Eyes are closed before the dust even gets 1/2 way.

Whats up with the name Mrlexmark? You work for lexmark or just like them?

lol, couldnt think of a name when registering here and saw the label on my printer and added MR.

But hey it could have been Mr. Hewlett Packard.

Its good that you don't work for them or like them cause their printers are shit  . You could effectively change your name to Mr.Paperjam or Mr.Expensivereplacementcartridge and it would mean the same thing ;)

Wow thats quite shitty Fox. Glad to hear that you're AOK though. You made me scare of my M11 now  Nahhh a M11 won't do that, but still I never though a pistol would do that either =\ Metal slide for you now :)

Sorry to hear Fox, I know how much you were looking forward to getting that M9.

Had a similar expereince a few weeks ago when Apoc gave me his M733 (again, for the dozenth time) to fix. This time it was not feeding BBs well and then at all. Noticed BBs in the tube (gun held upside down, I fired it to see how stuck they were.............. they were!), but saw rough deformation around the tube walls. I cleared the BBs, used an X-Acto knife to shave off the deformed edges, stuck a mag in and found it to fire fine. Flipped it upside down, pulled the mag out to see the BBs left in the tube, fired it in semi to see how well they fed down. Lo & behold, one of the fuckers shot right out of the loading tube and nailed me in the corner of my eye. No damage, but it made me learn to be more careful.

for some reason I get the image of Johnny Depp shooting dual m11's in "Once upon a time in mexico" with his eyeballs gouged out...

oh yeah, eye protection... giv'er!

Since the thread got upped, here is a quick update.

Canada post paid 100$.
The new slide in on it's way.
Total reparation expence: 2.50$ :-)

I tried the gun with the broken slide. It's ugly but still fonctionnal. I don't want to play too much with it and loose more parts.

An other lesson learned : When buying online, it's always good to take at least the 100$ insurance from post canada!!

did you have to provide them with pictures of the damage?

no.
All it took was a call from the seller. From what I understand, he explained what happenned and they sent the money.
He then forwarded me the money.

Look too easy. It could be abused.

Tankdude July 21st, 2005 17:00

They called me a day after I filed the complaint and sent me the money.

I told them it was an airsoft gun.
That the damage had been done during shipping.
The fluke of the slide breaking on the second shoot by Fox_111 was the give away.
That it was not repairable for saftey reasons.
That the cost of a new slide was 150 (007 airsoft).

They asked for an invoice of the part in the first call, but not when they called me back. They didn't even want to see the package or broken part or anything.

Very strange if you ask me, but we got the money.

Allstarr July 21st, 2005 17:12

very glad that you are okay Fox!

Grim Fandango July 21st, 2005 22:05

If anyone needs or wants KJ metal slides, you can PM me. I'll be putting in my next order either next week or the week after (whenever I stop being lazy and put it in). I can pick up M9, G23 and G27 metal slides. So whoever needs one let me know by next week.
