British S.A.S Mp5 what model?
1 Attachment(s)
I've been watching some videos on the British SAS tonight and I noticed something different from the typical mp5 airsofts I have seen.
The barrel of the gun is more rectangular than most of the ones i have seen that have that typical triangle/slope look barrel. What model is rectangular barrel? I've included a picture to show what im talking about |
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the SD, integral silencer versions?
|
I've read many books and watched plenty of my share of documentaries on the SAS.
For the MP5 variant they utilize the MP5 SD6. Manufactured by: ICS, JG, TM, G&G and Classic Army. |

I think HAW has one.

From what I understand you're looking for the old cylindrical hand guard.
That's actually an old style of MP5 early to late 1970's IIRC, no airsoft company or after market company (or atleast that I can think of) makes that specific hand guard. Classic Army does make the old A3 lower receiver though. |
Classic army BT5 Wide forearm MP5A3 or whatever it's called is like that.

oh poo :(

I think he's looking for a regular MP5 foregrip guys.
Nothing special. Remy, they come standard on most airsoft MP5's. |
I think he's after the narrow (rectangular) vs. the more common wide (triangular).

The 2 MP5A3s at the top of the thread have a "Slimline" handguard and are from the 70's.
Good luck, I tried to find one for you and no such luck :( |
If you want the same model closest you can get is the Classic Army B&T MP5s I believe they have some models with the SEF lowers still, just get that then buy a real slim handguard from HKparts.net and modify it to fit.

You know exactly what I was looking for. Sounds like its the version from the 70s that some people were mentioning. I wondering if the front end on mp5's nowadays are customizable? or maybe something could be made.. From looking around it looks like the flashlight attachments for the mp5s pretty much give it that same look. I just really like how its so slim looking. I bet it takes off a good amount of weight and is more maneuverable. I like the retractable stock too. |
The normal MP5 foregrip weighs almost nothing at all.

Here is what I would need: http://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/HK-Ge...sed-75p972.htm There is a ton of lowers on that site, some of which are 400$, wow. I would have no idea which one to pick. |

Oh Dayumm..As stupid as this sounds I actually didnt realize that was an actual gun site. I thought the HK stood for hong kong
<- Failsauce. I'd be suprised if that forearm fit :( Not to mention I bet it adds a lot of weight. |
Can anyone confirm if this forearm would fit an mp5 model?
This is one of those things that is consuming my mind right now. mp5 mp5 mp5 I also just realized if I were to purchase the slimline forearm, that in mp5s the battery goes in the forearm, it may not fit in the slimline :( |
I believe the rear portion would have to be extended as the airsoft MP5 has a shorter reciever tube than the real steel one. I want to get this slim forearm from this site as well rather than the triangle "tropical" grip that comes standard nowadays. if you do want to go retro you can mount a large maglite on top with a claw and fit batteries in that.

Amazing custom work by him tho. |
EDIT: what Remy said ^^^
Guys, guys, PM this guy with questions, he's selling the exact setup being talked about in here. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=107013 Apparently to make the carrot brand grip fit (and also probably the real steel ones), you need the mounting ring that comes with mp5 RAS. The G&P and clone kits have said piece connected to an outer barrel. http://www.gp-web.com/en/productspop.php?pid=123 |
I am not sure if this was brought up yet, but I see the lowers are being discussed. I just happened to be at Heckler and Koch in Germany on Monday (I'm in Germany on business).
The "old" style lower is the A1 (no stock), A2, and A3. They are also called "SEF" lowers because they are marked with the German initials for safe, semi, and auto. The newer lower was produced with an ambidextrous selector switch, and is referred to as an ambidextrous lower or the "Navy" style. These are the A4, A5, and A6 models. They "Navy" style lower is also included on the "N" or "Navy" model, but the model has a threaded barrel instead of a 3-lug barrel which was a request from the SEALS. The current lineup from HK offers both the SEF and the Navy trigger group. Fire modes are "S-F" for Single and Full, and "S-3-F" for Single, 3 round burst, and full. Other modes like 2 round burst are available as well. Model, Lower, Stock, Fire Mode, Notes A1, SEF, None, S-F, * Not produced anymore A2, SEF, Fixed, S-F A3, SEF, Sliding, S-F A4, Navy, Fixed, S-3-F A5, Navy, Sliding, S-F A6, Navy, None, S-F ,* Not produced anymore SD1, SEF, None, S-F SD2, SEF, Fixed, S-F SD3, SEF, Sliding, S-F SD4, Navy, None, S-3-F SD5, Navy, Fixed, S-3-F SD6, Navy, Sliding, S-3-F SDN, Navy, Sliding, S-F N(FS), Navy, Fixed, S-F, * Threaded barrel N(RS) ,Navy, Sliding, S-F, * Threaded barrel K, SEF, None, S-F K PDW, SEF, Folding, S-F K4, Navy, None, S-3-F KN, Navy, None, S-3-F They also make a "SF" model but it is semi auto only. |
