Airsoft Surgeon Glock Slide Getting Stuck

So today I received my Airsoft Surgeon Glock Slide, after installing everything, there was a problem The slide pulls back fine, but gets jammed going forward, it goes a bout 3/4 the way and jams up badly, I literally need a hammer to bash it forward, it will not move with out the hammer.

It seems to be getting jammed up around the back of the slide around the BBU. took the BBU out and it worked fine, but I can not pinpoint, were it is getting held up. I will try to get some pictures later on.

Thanks

You might want to search around these forums, I don't remember which section, but it has been discussed in the last months...

Edit: quick search got me to this thread:

Ya I have looked around, I can only find problems with the PGC kits.

I've now done some grinding to the Slide and the frame rails, and it has not changed anything.

Could be your BBU getting stuck on your hammer's bearing?

HaloSix4 December 14th, 2010 21:30

Well, I dropped the BBU back into a few other slides I have and they all are very smooth, and needed no Mods.

CDN_Stalker December 14th, 2010 21:30

And let me guess, the stock slide works perfectly, right?

HaloSix4 December 14th, 2010 21:38

The stock plastic slide cracked a while ago, I've been using a Guarder 17C Slide, for a while now.

CDN_Stalker December 14th, 2010 21:45

Ah. Your thread reminds me of the bullshit I had to deal with regarding the G&G threaded outer barrel, none of my slides worked with the barrel except the stock plastic one. And Airsoft Surgeon lost my respect the first try with them and their AS M23 380 kit, few of the parts fit my gun and also reduced the velocity by 1/3 (when it should have increased it by that amount). Also caused massive feeding and gas spewing issues.

HaloSix4 December 14th, 2010 21:48

Shit, that sucks, I hope this is not the same problem.

HKGhost December 14th, 2010 21:59

this isn't a Glock but it's the same idea on how to solve your issue (I hope). YouTube - Fitting metal slides to Marui airsoft 1911 pistols. Hope it helps

CDN_Stalker December 14th, 2010 22:02

I should have said the G&G threaded barrel was for one of my KSC G19s, of the two I had with metal slides, it didn't work with any, even after much troubleshooting and filing. But the AS kit I referenced was for my KSC MK23, should have put out ~380fps but came in about 60fps lower. But because it was internals and not a metal slide, I can't add in anything except I don't like AS stuff after the frist experience. Hell, my new recoil spring in the kit snapped in two just installing the damned thing! Compressed it while sliding it over the guide rod to pin it, it bent a bit and snapped.

Thanks I'll take a look at that, I'm hoping it is just a simple problem because I love the look of the Glock 21 Slide on it.

Thanks

Ah nothing in that vid helped unfortunately, right now the Slide feels nice and loose on the frame rails, but once you pull it back about an inch it locks up and will not go forward.

juicy December 15th, 2010 01:19

Loading nozzle getting stuck? Just thinking of what comes in contact with the whole slide assembly at around an inch of slide travel backward... IDK.

Spring guide/recoil spring maybe?

What outer barrel are you using?
