the new pack i just bought, is it genuine?
I have just came back from a holiday trip with my family, went to the sunny city of San Jose, brought me a surplus rucksack, this thing:
http://i48.tinypic.com/oiag6e.jpg but my brother tells me it is a fake, can some one here tell me if this is a real deal or a fake? or my brother is pulling my leg? Bought it to replace my old condor assault pack, thing was falling apart, it was held together with shoe laces and the strap itself tied in a knot thanks PS those are 5.11 pouches, if anyone is interested for the knowledge... |

yeah Dude, from the shitty pic, It's legit.
|
sorry, i only have an iphone that was readily available to send pictures quickly, this laptop do not have the luxury of having an SD chip slot...
|
It looks legit, I don't think anyone makes copies of the USGI Assault Pack(rucksack is far bigger). They are easy to find and can go for pretty cheap. But like C3sk posted, check for that tag(if it's still in there) to be 100%.
Why does your brother think it's a fake? |
There are no replicas of the SDS Molle II ACU Assault Pack that you have purchased. Even if the tag isn't there (some surplus stores remove those tags with the NSN), it is 100% genuine and not fake.

Post the tags.
But at first glance it looks like a SDS 3 Day Assault pack. They're rather rare nor expensive so most likely legit. |
Looks like an SDS assault pack, never seen a repro one, or any repros that say "US" on them lol

Keep the pack, get a new brother.
