Broken Charging Handel Solution

So I trew myself in with the lot of people who weren't gentile with the charging handel on their MP5 and snapped mine off. Instead of pulling my gun open and trying to replace the part I bought some all purpose crazy glue thats supposed to work on metal. I dabbed the part where the metal snapped off and dropped a few drops into the hole and let it dry. After a few hours i violently snapped the handel back a few times to test it and it seems pretty damn solid. Since then it's held up well.
So Just a suggestion, if your charging handel snaps off and your like me and your afriad of taking stuff apart (bad for an airsofter I know) good crazy glue will hold, just be gentile ;)

I've always wondered if JB Weld would work as well? I'm just not sure if its the right kind of metal.

Sorry to totally shit on the above post, but that doesn't work worth shit!! I did that to my A4, and guess what still happened? Common... guessss....!

Then you have my MP5A5, playing a barn game last fall and I ran forward shooting, tripped on a shit trough, fell forward hard, right hand slammed into the concrete floor wide open................ yes, MP5 was in that hand and my weight slammed the left side of my MP5 into the floor. Hurt my shoulder and my ankle, fired my MP5 a couple times to make sure it didn't break, perfect, looked and the gun and barely a scratch, let anlone a broken cocking handle. Guess I was lucky in getting a tough TM MP5A5!

Well, the real solution(I learned this after snapping the crocking handle off twice in one month) is just real unexpensive good working good old not slapping it at all! Serious.
If you already broke it, then some crazy glue down the middle would do.
As for the redwolf solution, I thought it was fool proof, and Slap... ...Crap.

so what happened, did the plastic insert tube break?

Kane August 6th, 2005 22:53

No, everything as far as the plastic tube is still intact, the handle just broke... And I'm not the only person that it's happened to.
