C7

Hey guys sorry i know someone has already mentioned this, but for the life of me i can't find it :( . I was wondering what parts i would need to create a c7 with normal stock. I already found the c7 elcan scope and am slowly saving up my money to buy the gun that will be upgraded or to upgrade my tm-sr16.

Thanks lerch :D. Just wanted to ask still if i should get an m16 flat top or would i be able to stick to my tm sr16. If not which m16 would you suggest TM or CA. Im not a big fan of tm barrel wobble, although so far the only bad thing ive hear about CA is the piston needs to be changed.

So far for the change i have
1 x TM SR-16
Purchasing soon
1 x Elcan Scope
Other parts:
Need to find out what parts
And where to get them
And how much.

It's true. Change that CA piston head ASAP. Mine lasted.... 10 shots i think? Laylax piston head for $25 brought the gun up above normal :D

should i stick with my tm or sell it and try to buy a ca and then begin upgrading?

In particular C7A1. To quote Jackals:

C7A1 is actually easier. You'll need a TM M16 and then replace the plastic body with a Flat Top Reciever and put a C-79 Elcan or replica Elcan on it. Rumour has it Guarder is producing C7 Recievers soon.

Smart cookie. Best person to check with would be savage haggis. He built a C7A2 recently using a JG M16A2 as the base.

No way. I had a choice in either a. purchasing karnage's JG M16A2 or ylasfar's TM SR16. The price difference was about 80 bucks. More for tm and i got tm. Bah. Looks like ill have to message him and see how much it set him back. But before that ive been wondering about my SR16's barrel and the surrounding of it. Because there's like an R.I.S system that surrounds the barrel that im not too fond of and am thinking about taking it off for making the C7. Here's a picture to describe the thing thats encircling the barrel.

My strong recommendation would be to have a gun doc remove the CA 7mm bearing bushings and replace them with solid steel ones. I've repaired three CA guns this summer that all suffered from catastrophic bushing failure as a result of a collapsed spur gear bushing. Luckily, the race held the bearings inside, but on all 3 guns the gearset had to be replaced.

I don't know...for some reason I am not a big fan of the Elcan sight...on the range I would rather use the iron sights or the tac sights...
I prefer shooting the C7A1 rather than the A2 for some reason. The A2 feels a lot looser than the A1
