Baker_Jeff's Lee Enfield No.4 MK1 Project
Here is the project thread for my Enfield. It is to compliment my WW2 Canadian Infantry kit.
My 1/6 scale reference gun: http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00146.jpg The donor gun: http://capitalairsoft.ca/store/images/super_9.jpg Shell ejecting! Don't know how I'm going to make it work... due to the mag placement, will have to use a dummy Enfield mag. The removed receiver: http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00147.jpg The wood pieces and the rest: http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00148.jpg I have the trigger guard and screws, the bands to hold the wood together, front and rear sling swivels, and rear flip up sight on the way from Ebay. The guy will be about 90% real steel. The wood is going to be pretty much hollowed out to fit the Super9 rifle parts inside. Will keep the updates coming! |
Cool stuff, funny you decided to use a super9 instead of a vsr or somthing more reputable......

I'm excited to see how this turns out.

looks cool but if i were you i would build it off a AGM m14 if you are looking for the cheep way
|
Unless this M14 is bolt action, I'm afraid I wouldn't consider it :P

Hey Jeff; That is a cool project, can't wait to see her when she's done!
I got a buddy that restores real Enfield Riflles from WW2. If you ever need some refernce material, I am sure that he can help you out. Gordo P.S. It was nice meeting you in person last weekend, hopefully we will get to shoot each other some day! |

Updates!
I had to cut/trim alot of the plastic surrounding the receiver: http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00179.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00180.jpg The band that holds the wood stock to the front end is part of the real steel receiver (illegal to buy without a PAL) so I am using parts of the original gun to fabricate it and hold it together. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00181.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00184.jpg Have to hollow out almost all of the original wood in order for the new parts to fit: http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00182.jpg Still have awhile to go! http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00185.jpg View from the top, it's a tight freakin fit. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00186.jpg Will cut or bend the bolt to replicate the sharp angle of the Enfield bolt. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00187.jpg |
I've got a spare marui receiver, trigger, cylinder and bolt if you want to make this out of a reliable gun...
|
Sure shoot me a PM with price please!
|
This should be quite interesting. I'm keeping an eye on this thread. I want to see how this turns out. Good work so far.

Hey, I saw this done using a VSR 10....finished product looked pretty good although the angle f the stock at the grip looked a bit odd. The builder did not use any Enfield parts but fabricated all by hand.
Anyway....good luck |
OMG UPDATES!?
Getting pretty close to fitting! I see some trigger peeking out the bottom now :). http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00199.jpg Could pretty much be a canoe it is hollowed out so much. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00201.jpg New parts in the mail today: http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00197.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00198.jpg Only a few parts of my kit: http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00196.jpg |
OMG Updates!!!
Front end finished. Please excuse the inner barrel sticking out, just need to tuck it back in. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00206.jpg Finally received the trigger guard today. Next up is to fabricate a new trigger, and modify the bolt to replicate the right parts. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00205.jpg Here's how she looks so far, almost done! http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...f/DSC00204.jpg |
