one point slings question

Hi guys,

I now have my guns and my tactical vest. I now have to get a BDU, boots, a sling, and eye protection. with that, I'll be good to go to a game. I am not full equip yet, with radio, hydration pack, and all, but It'll be a good starting point.

I am ok for the rest of these articles, but I need more info about slings. I saw this video yesterday, and I really love that, I'd like to get a setup exactly like that:

YouTube- URBAN-SENTRY One Point Right Hand Demonstration.

I'd like to have the same king of 1 point sling, with he belt buckle to secure the gun in place and all. I love the advantages of a single point sling, that if you have a problem with your main gun, you can just let it go and switch to the pistol. also I like how you can move the gun as shown in this video, you can secure it on the side, on the back with the belt buckle, you can put it over your shoulder, etc. I think its nice and I'd like to hae that...

so hat are you guy's opinion on a setup like that? pros and cons? and where can I get all that? the single point sling, adjustable like his, and the belt buckle, along with the front stap on the gun?

I rock a one point, but with no wear near as many buckles and what not as the one displayed in the video. I love one point slings. Mines very simple, its attached to the back end of my M4 reciever, has one strap and one buckle. I can swing it around with ease, it comes off quick when I need it to. I will probly continue to use one point set ups as often as I can.

If you wondering where to get one of the slings shown in the video, the giant banner behind the gentleman demonstrating the sling was the hint.

bungee slings are good as you can loop it on your weak side to have full access to your secondary holstered on your strong side.

the looped one point is nice to have. the one point that attaches to a d-ring on your vest is also nice. I like both and use both but can't really say which I prefer. all depends on the primary I use I guess.

I use this primarily for my lighter/shorter AEG's and shotty:

I use this primarily with a long primary:

yeah there is a couple of options... I'm a bit lost I know nothig about that... how should I configure it to get the belt buckle thing, along with a clip a bit like this one :

and will I need a special belt to use the belt buckle, or is it a stap that attaches to any belt???

sorry I really don't know about thise things... lets say that until now, the sling was really my last preoccupation, but now that I saw the benefits of 1 point slings... I really dig them.

Did you take a look at Magpul MS-2 Sling? One of the best sling I've seen so far.. Probably in my next airsoft order. You can get it pretty cheap here : http://www.airsoftpark.com/replica-m...od-p-1616.html. There's few reviews lying around airsoft forums about this replica and so far, no negative review. For 20$ you can't go wrong.

thats a 2 points. I'm looking for a 1 point sling, ideally liek the one in the video I posted with the clip to attach it to the waist.

Exactly, the MS2 can be used as a 1 point and 2 point sling. Worth the look. ;)

and you can tighten and loosten it as easily as the guy does it in the video???

also, if it doesn't come in a package... can you direct me to that clip he uses with the front of the gun? to clip it on his hips?

forget the buckle to the front of the gun. try looking for a weapons catch!

cool. thanks for the help guys(and girl), I'll check this out!

coach January 8th, 2010 19:55

all weapons catches are pretty much the same. the one T7 posted it all you would need.

there are a few here: http://www.extremeoutfitters.us/brow...ts/Index5.html

BHI has a few: http://www.blackhawk.com/Catalog/Pro...h=catch&type=Q

it's more universal and you don't require a short lead and buckle attached to every weapon you want to run without having to swap it out when you swap out your primary.
