As for releasing the fake bolt the bolt release basically rests on a spring load latch on the oposite side of the receiver. You will need to have the mag release installed, then you can knock a pin holding the bolt release out. Then you position the leaver on the latch, it took me a couple tries. Hold it in place, make sure the latch is releasing properly and pin it.
I can take some pictures for you tonight as I need to take my M4 apart anyways.

Yeah...I pushed it abit out earlier with on pin out, and i saw that the rear pin do not hold the upper receiver at all...it does slide out a bit with the frontal pin out, but even if i pull the charging handle and slide it forward, it's still caught on that nub...

there's a nub on top of the gearbox that will bump into the charging handle, you should be able to rotate the upper and pull the charging handle a bit to clear the nub.
Buffer tube screw comes out
motor plate, motor, grip screws come out, grip comes off
rear receiver pin comes out... thin pin infront of the trigger comes out not sure which way to punch it out, it's knurled on one side so if it comes out most of the way and the tip won't come out you punched it the wrong way. keep track of what way it came out, goes back in the same way unless you want to make it so loose it comes out down the road by itself.
mag release out
ping pong paddle pin out, paddle out.
selector in semi, gearbox should slide right out the top of the lower.

yeah...even doing that, the nub still is in the way...the m4 i have doesn't even open much with frontal pin out..it just opens slightly like 1-2mm and then it's stuck...no matter if i pull the charging handle it wont come off..
