TM Hi-Capa Broken Part I.D

Hi All

I have a problem with my TM Hicapa 5.1,a metal part of the frame has broken (ringed in picture) i have glued it back on but i suspect it will break off again.The pistol seems to fire okay,but is it something i should be worried about if it does break off again? and what does that part actually do? Many thanks

ignore it, take it off though, if it breaks off and goes into the nozzle it will cause damage

The part you are referring too is called HI51-52 and can be a bit of a pain in the ass to source. And no you cannot just "remove it" as it is integral for the hammer group to function and for the safeties to be in alignment.

Its exact name eludes me at the moment.


A general rule of helping people diagnose and fix problems. Do not tell people how to fix guns on these forums without providing actual factual information. Removing that part from the gun will cause it to cease to function safely, you have just suggested without explanation that someone potentially damage their gun. Least to say removing that particular part can be quiet a pain in the ass for someone unfamiliar with dis-assembly of that gun and can result in quiet a bit of frustration when they start attempting to remove the Hammer Mech and spring loaded parts go flying all over the room.


As for removing the front tang portion of this part, the pistol could potentially function however that tang is used to ensure that the *part that feeds the bb's* is at the correct position and height when during the cycle to ensure that bb's feed properly and correctly. Removing it could cause an increase in misfeeds and possibly damage either your magazines or the "part that feeds".

Thanks Rugger_can.I see what you mean about the part being difficult to source,tried all manner of HK,Korean and JPN websites,no go iam afraid.
Though did find a post by a kid who had the same problem,though he never resolved it.
Guess i'll run the 5.1 till it breaks then get a TM 4.1.Thanks again Rugger_can.

ive run a hicappa for months without that nub rugger, and ive NEVER had an issue, so i dont know where your info comes from, i said remove the broken off nub, not the entire assembly

never seen it, but ive seen clips and now that you mention it it does look familiar, but why does the dragunov have so little recoil

and people say TM is the more reliable gun? I dont think TM hi capa's are that durable especially the plastic slide that comes with it. Plus you have to upgrade a whole lot to make it look sick!, just too expensive for me to upgrade lots of parts.

WE and KJW are no better, I've had 2 WE brand valve knocker disconnectors break on me.

their hi-capa slides are wayyy to heavy to give you any kind of gas efficiency too

Rugger, I think he meant take off the end that broke off, as obviously that houses the valve knocker, spring, and disconnector.
