Dark Earth spray Paint color?

I like the dark earth color. and untill I can buy a magpul dark earth rcvr. I was wondering if anyone knows a spray paint (preferebly from a major chain) That will match that color closely so I can paint my rcvr I have now this color?


I already have a stock in that color. so anything close.

If I'm not mistaken try at either Canadian Tire or another chain which carries the Krylon Spay cans, there is a one of their Camoflauge lines which is very close to the dark earth.

Call around to local paint/auto body stores..some mix custom spray bombs..take your stock in (not whole AEG) and they can probably duplicate colour.

+1, the krylon camo paints come in

-Sand (khaki)
-Olive
-Brown
(and I believe) -black.

The brown is the one closest to Dark earth.

Like Damage said, Duracoat FDE if you want the actual color. Krylon's camo will be Khaki, which is similar, but a shade or two lighter.

Another fairly close match is Rust-Oleum Satin "Dark Taupe"

You'll NEVER find an exact match
the only way to get a REALLY close matching color is to spray it with 2 colors like I did
That's a magpul PTS DE receiver, the rail covers and M203 grip are spray painted
Oh and if your receiver is metal right now, don't paint it, sell it as is once you get the magpul receiver.

thats what i got from canadian tire and the paint is very good

I have Duracoat FDE sitting under my desk right now. Only used 1/4 of the bottle. Color result is the same as the MagPul FDE.

Actually its a sportline so the receiver is plastic. which makes me less worried to paint it. once I get a DE magpul I may just ad some color to break it up. I do like the look of your rifle though. Hmm.....
