Cool Radio Pouches

Hello!
I was just curious where you guys mount your radio (and pouch).
I'm going for a Puxing P-888, so it's a little larger than the usual Motorola.

I've seen people mount it on the back, but wouldn't it be a little hard to access? But there isn't a whole lot of room on the front or sides where it won't be in the way.

Thanks

Mounting it on the back is often seen in CQB setups where you work in close proximity to your teamates.

They are normally mounted on the sides, near the front for easy acces, but in a way so the antena clear the workspace.

Some need to use a remote antena that is mounted on the back.

Mine is mounted on my right side, just in front of my IFAK. (medpouch)

This is a Motorola in a Blue Force Gear smoke pouch. Fits quite well and it could take a slightly larger radio as well.

I have it mounted on my back beside my Air/Hydration pouch.

The PX-888 fits quite nicely in an STANAG single mag pouch (or shingle).

we're required by our team rules to have them front mounted because you just cant get to them in the back lol
I use a shingle myself, some companies make really good pouches though
And always pocket the radio with the screen facing in so it doesnt get shot out

Ok, I just wasn't sure if there would be enough space to have it on my sides comfortably.
I guess I will just have to experiment.

Thanks, guys!

I tried mounting mine to the front, until I went prone the first time, and every time I put weight on it had a little asian lady yell "lock!" "lock!". near the front on the cummerbund worked good, but then I had a mess of ptt and remote antenna cables running around my side and shoulder, so back on the back she goes. For most events I'm not changing channels, and once I've found a volume I'm happy with, there's really no need for anyone to touch it at all...

Oh... Well, yeah, well obviously.... I knew... That... Now if you'll excuse me, I have to fiddle through this radios menu .... For unrelated reasons.
