Alright, I did something I've never done before. I attacked an AEG with my dremmel before I even put 1 BB through it

While this is just a trial run using the plastic stock, this will be transfered over to the wood stock when I get it.

As many of you know, I feel the need to rip apart and personalize all my AEG's. Well, thanks to the great design of the TM AK47, I did not feel the need to mount an M203, RIS, special stock, or any other wierd a** idea. Infact, I was almost stumped as to what to do to this gun. Ultimately, I decided on This

Close up can be found by clicking here

While it's still not finished, I figured I'd post it up . Yes I did the same on the other side of the stock too. Thanks to my Digital camera for it's assistance in transfering the image of my Tattoo onto my AEG. It is truely MY AK now. 8)

Nice stuff.

I saw an airsoft AK with anarchy symbols on the stock like that a long time ago... It was nice too.

Over all time, it's still ongoing. It took a while though. I still need to slightly sand smooth the engraved sections & paint it.

The wood version will turn out better as I will be picking up new bits for my Dremmel

I probably won't. I honestly didn't know how it was going to turn out. The biggest problem when working with plastic and a dremmel is that the plastic has a tendency to melt.

I don't think that the clients of a tattoo parlor will allow me to use my dremmel on people

As for anarky symbols, I don't see that as an anarky symbol.

If you have some good grain density contrast (i.e. large variance between hard areas at grain edges and soft areas between) you can carefully burn the carved area with a microtorch. After burning, scrub the areas out with a small wirebrush and you'll reveal some really nice grain contouring and deeper flame blackening at the grain lines. Try it with a hunk of cedar to get an idea of what I mean.

Nice work AugMan. Maybe you'll carve me some mother of Pearl inlay for my PKIIs!

You can do Mother of Pearl inlays using a bandsaw or a scrollsaw. When I used to make handmade guitars, I did my own mother of pearl inlays using a bandsaw with a fine toothed scroll cutting blade (1/8" deep?) I used a dremel with a routing attachment to cut the relief for the inlays.

I'm sure there's some kind of body mutilation market for that kind of work. Teens today are being more creative when they express there hatred for their parents not buying them a nice car.

Very nice Augman, very nice indeed. I always wanted to see the Spetz eagle engraved into the stock of an AK.....

Is that an eagle, or a bat?

Maybe it's just my Dog tag, but it looks like a bat 8)

Thanks for yet another idea

No, I meant someone did the same thing to the stock, but with those symbols.
