Hahahahaha...

Yes the knockoff cadpat will be fine for playing once a month.

As long as your not overly dragging yourself along the ground or anything it should last you quite a while.

Google translated:

Oui le cadpat de knockoff sera bon pour jouer une fois par mois. Aussi longtemps que votre se traîner pas excessivement le long de la terre ou de quelque chose il devrait vous durer tout à fait un moment.

I am not going to translate this but you don't just have to worry about the fabric. The last FR game I was at (Jan 6? Ithink) I had a button snap in half... that was the fourth time I wore that shirt. It was a Parklands Cadpat shirt. So be weary of everything on those knock-offs.

Legally get Issued CADPAT ? ...Join the Canadian Forces.

Otherwise you can check out eBay and stuff like that, but if it`s new, it`s probably a stolen item.

Give Dave's a call, they've usually got some sets of the factory extra Gen2 kickin' around

That way you don't make the CADPAT Nazi's mad.

I'm told One Shot Tactical makes far better than issue quality combats and are avaliable in both CADPAT variants, black, tan, and multicam. Quality comes at a price of course.

Dont know about the quality from experience, just from other peoples comments (no one has ever spoken badly about Drop Zone stuff before that I've heard) but I use parklands knockoffs as well, when I wear them out I will most likely save up and get the drop zone stuff from one shot tactical.

You can also get cadpat stuff from Wheeler online as well, they are a canadian company. They have some pretty interesting items for sale. They are on the east coast though. But if you want authentic, join the reserves lol. One night a week one weekend a month kinda thing.

That's probly not a solid plan, my roomate last year was in the reserves, and you are not allowed to wear your cadpats unless you are on duty. If you get caught it can be up to 10 years in prison. It is also illegal for civilians to have the actual military issue cadpats, with a similar punishment, I think up to a $50,000 fine.

Here's one for you...

My wife is a kick ass seamstress and has put together a lot of completed clothing over the past little while - so... I ask if she thinks she can put together a cadpat jump smock.

"If you can find a pattern, I can try..." she says.

Fair enough.

So where, oh where, can I find patterns for cadpat combat clothing, or a jump smock that I can convert to cadpat?

Anybody?

Use the British Para Smock as the pattern...then you just need to get the CADPAT material.
