Case in point, your bad structure for sentences shows you are from Quebec, but more importantly, you really are NOT getting a clue about what's being said to you in ENGLISH!!! Hence you portraying your Quebec side.

Anyways, I'd suggest a thread clean on this, constant repeats of CADPAT common knowledge above, and then he decides to troll for scraps due to being informed he is repeating what everyone knows already.

New to CADPAT but used to work in offshore fishing and the ONLY reason we ever soaked our gear in vinegar was to make it more supple.

The acids in the vinegar break down the fibers without destroying the integrity of the material. If you have ever worn new heavy canvass or cotton based clothing you know it's like walking around in carboard till it breaks in.

If you want it to be fade proof, I would suggest soaking your garments in the following:

5 Gallon bucket
5-6oz of non-perfumed (nothing stands out in the forest life Lavender Mist!) SPF50 sunblock, preferably one that is oil based and not water based.
Add as little water as possible to allow the entire garment to saturate and rub it in as best you can.

Soak it in that overnight and hang dry. Re apply after the next wash.

Kind of a pain but it works, and if you're like me, you only wash your outdoor gear when it smells bad enough for the wife to not let you in the house, or in the case of Airsoft, when the gear smells so bad they can SMELL you comin'!

Issued CADPAT is the property of the Canadian Government. If you have issued CADPAT in your possesion it is probably stolen and still the property of DND. So yes it is illegal to have this kind of item when your not in the CF.

For fucksakkes, issue cadpat is already in the surplus supply chains. You can buy it at all kinds of surplus stores off the shelf. And who the fuck cares if it IS or IS NOT illegal? The fact that you're running around with a bloody rifle is probably of greater interest to the police than the clothes you're wearing.
