CADPAT Vest

Hey,

Any of you looking for a CADPAT tactical vest i've found one on ebay going for $220Cdn. It doesn't look like its an authentic design used by the CF but its CADPAT. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...6&category=588

Someone here bought it already, and I don't think it's the issued vest. I think the pattern is probably CADPAT, but it's not the CF vest, I'm pretty sure it looks different.

BTW, this would go in the gear section anyway. :wink:

It is neither CADPAT, nor CF issue. It is the Wyvern vest in jungle stalker. Close repro of cadpat, and a damned good vest design.

Be wary of this guy. He has the very SAME vest on his US page and says the pattern is Jungle Stalker, which is what is in that link above. The background colour on that vest is too light for CADPAT, and the geometric blocks way too large.

Sorry people, it IS CADPAT. I have the ISSUE CF NUKE bag, and the colours are the same. For some reason anything made of cordura has a slightly different hue than the uniform. Do not buy from military griffen to whom the linked auction came from as he overcharges on shipping.........$38 for a vest shipped to Canada. For the last FU@$%^G time it IS CADPAT.

Roger that Boyos! It is CADPAT.
Wyvern actually, (which I found out just last week), a licence to produce these with the Repro fabric distributed by Frontenac.

It lacks CADPAT trades because technically it is not the issued material.

The differences between the Repro and the Issued are very very, I say again, subtle.

I actually just returned from a JACSE field exercise where I had the chance to get much acquianted with the issued CADPAT. The differences between my repros are very hard to see (fabric wise. Seamsmanship is another story.). Though, I did get dumped on for wearing my repros on a (very non official recce mission on our enemy squadron (110 BH!)). No officer actually saw me wearing them, instead a sell out brown nosing NCO ratted me out, so there was no direct evidence that I was wearing my repros

After I got in shit... by 1 Major, 3 captains, 2 Lt, 2 2Lt and an OCdt they made me change into my OD combats. Then, I was sent to do Mess Duty... Scrub! Fsgt! Scrub!

I've had a chance to try on a Wyvern vest similar to this. It feels great, all in all a great vest, lots of pockets and a lot of.. Cool stuff! It feels almost as great as the issued CF tac vest. I prefer the CF vest.. but I guess, Wearing the Wyvern vest over the CF vest would be the freaking best!

The real CADPAT Boonie is quite amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The real issued one has a special compartment where you can store your CADPAT neck sash that attaches to the velcro on the inside of the boonie.

I wore mine less than I had it off in front opf the fire during my Sentry duties and drooling at the inside and all the wicked features!!!!!!!!!!

If you can get one!! Get it! The real one!!!!!!!!

I seriously think some people have thier monitor's brightness set too low. How people are getting cadpat and jungle stalker confused is ridiculous.

I purchased the cadpat vest and you can see me wearing it in the MARPAT CADPAT comparison thread.
