Thanks mcguyver for the battery answer. I'm using a Triton 24 cells and Hobbico Accu-Cycle Elite 10 cells chargers. Played with the PTW yesterday without connecting the battery till game start and had no problems with the battery. Must have shot over 1200 rds in semi and burst mode.

Another thing that was encountered yesterday with the PTW, was the reset switch( bolt release latch) had reset itself even with bbs in the mag. This had prevent the gun from firing at the worse possible moment, causing me to do a mag change only to see that there was still bbs in the mag. This is a minor thing that can be easily fixed by shimming the spring on the latch from what I've read.

I want to make a SR25 PTW... Too bad my budget will not allow for this.

It's a fine balance between the strength of the bolt release spring vs. the mag follower spring. Some guys have gone and stretched or replaced the bolt release spring , but then ran into problems where the mag follower was not strong enough to open up the bolt release. You can usually see when the bolt release is open, but as a precaution I always tap it once before firing if the gun has been slung or unfired for awhile.

It adds a new element to the game when your mag is either empty or the bolt release has opened duruing a firefight. Both have happened to me and the initial reaction is panic, but you learn quickly to calm yourself and get down to business.

So Kos, when are you getting one of these? Don't tell me it's a lack of money, as you live in Toronto and there's plenty of opprtunities to do some pimpin' out there!!

She's comin' in late November. PTW CQB/R MAX II.

Money is an issue ATM, but I'm almost there. I'd have it alot sooner if I didn't need to pay living expenses ;)

Pics of finished project to come.... in a year. :p

MadMax September 24th, 2007 14:56

She should wait until Febuary so she can go to shotshow and get you a MP5PTW while she's there.

That wouldnt work, we are going to Mexico March 1st:D and I think her work might get annoyed with her taking too much time off to close together
