what direction is the thread of your silencer? the 22 takes any 14mm CCW threaded end. however keep in mind how thick the other barrel is so make sure that the silencer will be able to clear the other barrel or be able to reach the threads without going over it.

RA-Tech doesn't include any screws with the little rail they sell to mount bipods on the wood kit, and none of the original kjw screws will thread in!

I'm pretty happy with the 30 round stick magazine I received today, however the problem I foresee is the little tab that engages the interior bolt catch is still made of plastic. The bolt will no longer lock back on my 22 round magazine because of this, so I definitely anticipate this is going to be a problem in the future with my 30 rounder. Also, it's open faced like a mac11 magazine, to I guess help you know how many shots you have left? Depending on how you plan on gaming it this may or may not be a problem, but I see a lot of dirt getting in there when I'm prone :/ My solution's going to be to just wrap it in hockey tape.

So I finally picked one of these bad boys up - 235$ plus tax and shipping from 007airsoft - have to say I'm quite impressed with it .. Stupid simple trig mech and bb unit, i cannot really see anything breakin here for quite a while. I already had my mag vent spontaneously while in my hand - fuck that was cold - simple point of applying silicone grease to the main o ring and putting the mag back together. Now I just need to figure out why my hop up is sending bb's down range like a golf slice.

Will post a pic of mine soon ... Just waiting for the paint to finish drying...

I see it listed it at $400. Is their a sale I am missing out on or something?

Strelok January 10th, 2012 22:35

So, since my KC02 seems to have difficulty applying any hop to .4g bb's. I'm going to give a shot and see how the KJ TB barrel and Hop rubber affects it. Should have it all by the weeks end.

I'll keep you all updated.

Anyone else here running the gun with upgraded hop rubbers? Thanks!

Man that was a pain in the ass, not as difficult as some other projects but sheesh... now it just needs to be painted the same, still have more work to do..

ruinz00 January 11th, 2012 00:28

dammit, I'll wait a months then. I didn't remember seeing them that cheap.

Isn't that UBR going to rub up the back of your hand, or is their just enough room to not make it uncomfortable?

Ballcancer January 11th, 2012 00:42

yea it was for just that one week only... and yea when I initially tested it on there before securing it (perminently beceause a screw head broke due to over torquing) it was fine, but I didnt realize that it wasnt all the way on, now, its actually just the qd swivel mount that kind of gets in the way ... will have to remove it some how.. then it should be fine.

Im running mine with the RAtech TB and hopup rubber, rubber feels like its made out of a truck tire but it works. the part that makes contact with the bb is also broken in two parts much like 2 beaver teeth, so as you add hop it wraps around the sides of the bb. but i dont have to give it much for it to work well.

Shooting mine of 36s now and it LOVES them. every other weight just seems blah. so thats all she gets now. 36 and duster seemed to be the magic combo for me.

Strelok January 11th, 2012 11:33

Did you chrono it with Duster, or even green gas? I'm curious of what it really rates up to with the TB barrel and Hop rubber.

Thanks!

anyone else having issues sighting this? I put on a 3-9x40 scope and I can't sight the scope low enough to where the gun hits... I aimed the scope all the way down and hop-up all the way up and still no dice. I'm using G&G .2g bbs that came with the gun. target is roughly 15m away

I thought maybe i had a defective scope but same issue with my 2.5-10x40
stock iron sights work but i need to raise the rear sight nearly all the way

did i do something stupid?

Styrak January 12th, 2012 08:45

I don't use any sights or optics at all. I found I couldn't see the tan 0.40's I was using. Might be able to see white ones a lot better, but generally when using a sniper rifles single BB's are hard to see vs AEG's with a stream of BB's.
I just use instincts and correct if I miss.

look along the length of the gun when you shoot to see if it's coming out at an angle, fit it's shooting straight then the rails are not perfectly parallel to the barrel and you'll need to ad shims in the rear ring to raise angle the scope.

If bbs are coming out at a downward angle your hopup is fucked or you may have a bur and/or just a dirt build up in the barrel.
