I know of a place in Canada where you can get KJ mags cheaper than any other retailer :)

PM me for info!

Quick question:

I know the CQBR and and M4A1 are essentially the exact same gun, but does anyone know if a full metal CQBR upper, and a release-model cansoft upper are interchangeable?

Basically, any known issues between hot-swapping uppers and lowers (Complete builds) between new full metal and oldest cansoft?

The only differance between the two models is the clear receiver or a full metal one. All other parts are 100% identical.

Thanks Eeyore, I assumed as much. Appreciate the confirmation.

So, since no one answered my previous question, I decided to try it out myself...

I've confirmed that aftermarket WE charging handles are not compatible with the KJW M4. However, it looks like with some dremel work and JB Weld, it might just work.

I've also confirmed, King Arms VLTOR Casv rails do fit, but require some pretty permanent modification to the upper receiver. Also, the G&P G27 GBB grip fits perfectly, no mods required, as well as any AEG M4 stocks.

Any AEG front end will work on a KJ with some MINOR filing (took me all of 45 seconds with a dremel)

any one know if this rail system will work?

also, anyone know this stock will fit?
http://www.ebairsoft.com/magpul-stock-p-3506.html

im still not sure what stocks will fit on the buffer tube. some people say AEG stocks, some people say MIL-spec

The PTS stock will fit fine, but if you want best fitment buy a Milspec real steel Magpul stock.

Im having my first function issue with my M4, I had my M4 in bits for a few weeks, i put it together and it fires fine in semi, but in auto often the hammer just falls to the knocker and doesnt release any gas, or it releases gas but doesnt cycle and vents the mag, at first I thought i reinstalled something wrong, but i took it apart and reinstalled everything 2 more times to make sure

Stop fixing your guns.

Thank you for your incredibly helpful and constructive comment, remind me to tell you to go fuck yourself if I should meet you in person, along with some BB Bukakke in the groin.

Anyways, I'm suspecting the issue is related to the sear mechanism being tripped by something other than the bolt carrier (vibrations, body flex, etc) so the hammer falls early and doesnt hit the knocker squarely, because when it starts messing up it fires weakly like the hammer isn't hitting hard enough, possibly riding forward on the bolt carrier, I can be sure by removing the FA sear altogether and see if it misfires the same, then it would atleast help identify the issue.

Sounds like you didn't put the hammer spring in properly.

But seriously, stop taking apart guns.

Thenooblord September 14th, 2010 19:02

contrary to what I expected, it actually functions better WITHOUT the full auto sear, obviously I cant run the gun without the FA sear, but it means something's messed up with it, I'll keep poking it till I get it working again
