now for the handle and to reshape your gun , you'll need clay, or something like that to create the piece, then you'll need to make molds and then smelt your pieces, with plastic or metal....and then also make sure they fit...

I may use a modeling material or something to work on developing the body panneling. My idea so far is a full RIS front on top towards the back using extenders (I'll try get a doodle up). I have RIS on both sides of the Mini Launcher and surrounding the front of the 416 so i was going to use these as places to bolt on to.

Any thoguhts?

Appologies on the delays.... Had alot to sort out recently but i have another order of parts in-bound. :*Grins*

I have been debating Li-po since it was first mentioned but in the end i have decided to go Ni-Mh for now. The li-po battery i would feel comfortable with using on this setup is solid casing and costs about 200$ USD. Too much for now. The Ni-Mh i ordered is a 12v, 48$, Under 1/4 the price. However, i knew I would need a new charger also as my current one does up to 8 cell only.

These are the new goodies i have incoming. I was going to order the charger from ehobby for 90$ then i saw a review on WGC and they had it for 72$ including a Li-po balancer so i figured get this one them i'm already set up for Li-po in the future!

Parts -

TLP Charger X15 Set - http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...15SET_srch_TLP

12V Battery Were no stock setup ones so i have to modify. - http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/default/i...arge-type.html

Guarder SP100 Spring - http://cgi.ebay.com/Guarder-SP100-Ai...713.m153.l1262

14AWG Silicon Power Cables in black and red - 2m of each. - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=012

16AWg Silicon Power cables again in black and red and 2m of each. - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=012

10x Deans Power Connectors including heat shrink. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=004

Sinse testing the gun and the connections i really dont feel comfy with 18awg wire. It gets very hot under sustained fire. So i am in the progress of working 16AWG in to the Pro-Win gearbox. I want this setup to be abe to go over to higher AMP Li-po eventually or at least be capable of it without a complete re-wiring of the gun. Theres going to be enough wiring as it is.

Also i blew a mini 20amp fuse other day so i'm looking in to other Fuse opions.

Anyone have any thoughts here? I'm thinking maybe going Blade Fuse's for easy changes and could be side mounted on the gun.

This is the sort of thing i have looked at so far, but i would rather a chasis mounting option so it can be mounted on the gun side for quick changes.

Anyways thats the update so far, as always ideas, suggestions adn comments welcome!

Take it easy all!

Do you need a fuse?

Humm... I dunno really? I know all guns seem to come with them as default and i've blown a couple. I guess it depends. I think i do for now as the trigger unit is the one out of the base gun. Not a high performance Guarder Anti-Heat etc, so there is the chance a high AMP spike could melt it. Also if i could find out more technical info on the Systema Turbo motor to see how high current and volts it can take then i would know better.

If i use a trigger master that isolates the Trigger switch from high amps and volts down to approx 10mA so then it cant be damaged.

Interesting..... I think Kos-Mos was going to look in to Mosfet and computer control for elements of this, will have to check with him as he seems to be the one in the know for this area of expertease!

Unfortunately, the supplier of the controller chip takes forever to reply to me.

It's been over 2 months now that I am waiting for the chip.

If you go with the resistor selector, you will build enought heat to light a cigar...

Humm.... Resister doesnt sound like a good idea then LOL... I'm looking for a Master power on switch at the mo and looking at 30Amp Illuminated Switches.

For this setup controller chip, are there many parts needed?

That manufacturer sounds lame. 2 Months is shocking service!

If you're looking for some type of base "armor" to work with for that High-Tech suit you mentioned earlier to go with the gun, I'd recommend Beastgear. I've been planning on buying up some of their armor to build a "Future-Look" protective set... I just need to find some other gear to go with it, belts and such to carry my existing black gear.

Cheers for that! Yes i will be eventually putting together a full High Tech suit and hopefully it will be as pimping as the gun!

I've sent a few e-mails out to ebay power sellers of armour, they sell them low price but i'm asking if they have any oddments etc. The reason is so far with everything i have purchased so far it has been voided and chopped up and modified. As it doesnt really need to provide actual protection i'm going to try get hold of oddments here and there if possible ad start customising things.

I would like to get AV gear in to it and i'm trying to think up other smart/usefull things to include in the suit.Maybe not as far as the Nano suit from crysis but you get the idea.

The 12V battery pack arrived yesterday from ehobby.... Standard postage and it took 3 days includding shipping day from HK!!!! Thats frigging fast! however :( My other inbound parcel the charger has been cought by customs Grrrrr so waiting to see if any charges are going to be added.

Also means i can't test out the 12v pack till i get it as my charger is only good for up to 9.6v....

On another note. The heat shrink tubing, and wire rolls have arrived today. The pro-win gearbox now has fully 16AWG wiring inside it, surprisingly it was very easy to do! The 18AWG stuff is too thin in my view. The wire gets hot. Hot wire = wasted energy by producing heat as it cant move the power fast enough along with resistance. This new wiring runs cool and can take much higher current/volts now.

I cannot wait to try this 12v pack. I did plug it in but was only minimum power inside it so it was not faster thana 9.6v pack. I need to remove the 2nd tooth on my piston because i'm worried it will destroy the piston otherwise. I also think i might need to get a delay sector gear clip. Anyone got any input on these?

Cheers peeps! I really want to get progress underway again... I havn't totaled things up for a while but teh cost is getting worrying lol!!
