Relax there Mr. Scam Artist! :D

When buying and selling on ASC, I treat it with the same honor as I do airsoft, when on the field.

Interactions on the forum and the faceless void called the internet still reflect how honorable you are in the real world. It's easy to fuck someone or dick them around on the net, but I truely beleive these same people would do it in the real world in a face to face deal if the very real threat of a bitch slap wasn't there.

I bought an airbrush off of EX once, by the time I had a chance to pick it up, things were a little tight, did I bail? No. Why? Because I gave my word, my bond. I feel alot of younger guys will not understand what I just said, because they have not been taught about "the handshake". I was taught when you shake on, or verbaly (now today digitally) agree to something, your character, your dignity, and your honor are now linked to "the deal" and you are commited to seeing that deal through at all reasonable costs to maintain face.

Oh....and I know how you feel EX.

Any delay after the stuff is payed is to be rewarded with at least neutral rating.

Ya, seriously. Not gonna light a fire under his ass just yet, but updates would be nice, even just updates to say there is a delay. I asked for the tracking number (for obvious reasons) mainly due to the fact I spend 90% of my time at my gf's house on the other side of town, and my house is 15mins drive from my work, so I'd like a heads up on when I should go pick up the package at the PO, then head home, grab my shottie and assemble/try it at my gf's place. :D

It was Tys (can never remember his M###### name), I glanced over it but obviously it didn't register in my head, don't remember much about it other than he was a seller. Maybe he decided to delete it on his own?

I guess lol. I can't remember his name either, too many numbers. I do that sometimes too, rant or counter rant, spend like 10 minutes responding to something and it ends up being like a page long, then read over it and realize that was enough, you just had to put it into words to get it out and then delete it cause you dont care if others see it or not.

Why? I didn't get scammed, or flaked on... I think you meant someone else.

Eh sometimes just typing out what you feel helps people to vent. No need for others to read into your rant eh m102404?

CimmShark March 25th, 2010 11:17

lol nah only on here where I get to think about responses. in person my answers are nothing like that

Wilson March 25th, 2010 11:54

I thought this was common sense? Ugh, some people need to be slapped in the mouth.

venture March 25th, 2010 15:05

i agree about the handshake and its responsibilities, but i must say that everyone i personally have dealt with has been great. good bunch in general on asc.

surebet March 25th, 2010 15:25

I just put another 5000$ block of guns, gear and stuff in the classifieds, already I'm attracting idiots.

To date, the worst I got was a guy that was asking questions about a gun, how to upgrade it, wanted photos of specific internal components then decided to buy it from the states... GRRRRR!

I agree with you on that one. Being young myself, I deal often with people of the same age and it is a truth.

In my opinion, respect to others is the reflect of self-respect.

Not just that, but also upbringing and the fact that respect and manners is simply an old fashioned thing that is for old people, not the youth of today with all the entitlements they seem to feel due to politically correctedness in the schools, etc.

Yannos March 25th, 2010 18:34

I agree with the posts above.
I am VERY friendly with people who wants to buy my stuff or with people I want to buy there stuff, Its common sense.

Like others said, if you are being an ass over a PM or email or msn when you ask some questions, you probably are an ass. And people here, I believe, don't want to deal with assholes. When I PM someone about something I want, I am waiting for a kindly and friendly answer. And I am sure the other Users when they PM someone, they feel the same. Just the matter that the person would pm me back with a rude attitude or something like that, I wont buy from him. Simple as that.

Flaking..
Are you fucking serious? If there is something I can't stand is Flaking.
Lets leave it there...

LowBalers...
Why but WHY? I don't mean for example: the price is 70$ + shipping and you offer 65$shipped (a small and not heavy Item) That's a fair deal.

Example 2: The price is 450$ + shipping and you get an offer for 300$ shipped ... Now THAT'S ridiculous.

My little rant\
