So, my G&P M140 arrives today, so i installed it... Nothing. When i remove it fromt he mechbox, i can slightly turn it by hand, but it seems to click into place when twisting?
Also, in the gun, it wont turn over. It clicks. Tried reversing the polarity to make sure it wasnt backwards... nothing Any help? |
it "clicks" because of the magnets inside, that's normal.
Wire up the motor so it's not inside the (take the motor cage off) and see if you get anything that way. |

(I'm looking for one that takes a lot of effort to hand turn for my ASCU) |

That's unfortunate, I don't know about anyone else, but a PTW sounds like a broken AEG to me lol

You don't like the sound of a bird chirping in your ear? :P It's not as loud as a PTW, but I personally think it sounds similar, at least more so than my M4. The only problem is for some reasons that the older style motor connectors don't want to stay on, so I'll have to get a gundoc to solder on the new ones, since I think I'll have to get new wires since the existing ones aren't long enough to chop off the old ones and install the new ones.

thanks for the info on hand turning the motor. the ASCU needs a motor that can stop as soon as the power is cut to prevent over cycling. greater resistance to turning means it will likely stop instantly. |

Yeap, ended up just crimping the connectors a bit and it worked like a charm! Everything is perfect now, and I'm LOVING it. And to you coachster, thats what it seems like. The response is amazing, and the second the cycle is done, the motor stops.

AN M160!? That changes EVERYTHING(I already have an M160)!!

Haha. If your not seeing the same response as I'm describing, that may be due to the fact that I have a mosfet and 10.8v in it. But yea, definitely love my AK...just gotta learn how to use my mosfet properly :P
