Sounds like something to take up with ASC Mart (or wherever you ended up buying it...)

Hey Colin_s ... are you a paid spokesman for AI? I see you do many reviews of their products looking at your post history. I like your commentaries though, I find them helpful.

Hi asc.ranger, lol nope I am in no way affiliated with Airsoft Innovations. I do like their products and I've had the pleasure of playing with a lot of their stuff over the years. The reviews are positive because MadMax listens to what airsofters want and delivers a solid product. LOL and I do review more than AI products, though most of the time I do not post them here on ASC but rather on my blog. To be fair those reviews are fairly positive too (not all are positive though) but when spending my own money, I tend to buy things I know will be good. ;)

I haven't jumped on the GBBR bandwagon yet but many of my teammates have and one of the biggest qualms is porting gas. The GasCan solves that situation in a nice neat little package. :)

Gunny_McSmith contact AI directly and they'll take care of you.

??? ASC Mart seems like it hasn't been updated in many many months. No gas can on the website and most of their AI stuff has been out of stock for a long time.

I've been wanting to get in on that sale with free gungas kits with grenades/gas cans, but I can't find a retailer that has spoon kits, gas cans, and timed nades in stock. Even airsoft-innovations.com is out of spoon kits.

Mine doesnt leak anymore....:D

but AI should release a "spoon kit" for it.... (Looks like a Swiss army perfume bottle to me....lol)

How did you fix it? I just got one today and it leaks at the fill valve and also at the removable top. I will try a silicone bath, but I don't have a lot of faith in that fix :(

Issues filling Marui and KJW magazines

I bought the GasCan and it is a beautiful device but I had troubles filling both TM and KJW mags.
While filling, much gas escapes anf this freezes the Brass valve/nozzle of the GasCan.
I tried a plastic adapter but the results are the same.

Is there something wrong, or the TM/Kjw mags are problematic to be filled with a brass nozzle?

Colin_S September 11th, 2013 14:51

Hi kar120c. It's normal for TM mags to spew out gas when you're filling it though I'm not sure about KJW as I have never owned one of those.

If you feel there's something wrong with your gas can contact Airsoft Innovations, great guys who stand behind their product. If you have problems they'll fix it for sure.

Ive been using my gas can to fill both my Timer Grenades and KJW pistol mags.
What is the difference between the different oils? I've been using the same oil for both products, am I "gumming" up my system? I thought most silicone oil was the same?

The oils have different viscosity, grenade oil is too thick for pistols/rifles. Do not use grenade oil in your GBB/Rs otherwise you'll have problems.

Thanks Colin, I'm glad I found out now instead of a year from now when parts start to break
