The kjw is fine for plinking. How is it not? It's loud indoors though.

Accuracy starts and ends with the shooter. While all the upgrade suggestions rock, if you can't hold a gun properly, aim properly, stabilize the gun, etc, the most accurate gun in the world will not be.
Don't just upgrade your gun, upgrade your skills. :)

Swinging beer botle caps are my preference, ask around. Hehe, CopCarMan, Testtube and a few others were at my place one night and we were shooting, I showed CCM how I like to shoot swinging bottle caps at 30ft with my M24, then he dared me to shoot the string it was hung on (a strand of 550 inner cord), I said sure and waited til the cap stopped, and sitting with my elbow supported on my knee, smacked it first shot. CCM just about shat his pants (judging by the poster he made, stand-squat-stand, mouth open wide saying "FUUUUUCCCCCKKKK!" and laughing.)

Hey, that's what being a skilled markman is all about, timing, technique, etc. :D

Could I use a lower power gas so it wouldnt be as loud?

You can use lowered powered gasses to make it quieter, yes. But it's even easier to just not be a pussy :D
Buy a KJW, you won't regret it no matter what your using it for ;)

Well yeah, thats what I'm "aiming" for, to be a good shooter.

I think becoming a good marksman involves routine practice. More so getting tighter groupings every next time you practice. For this to happen, you need to practice with an accurate rifle..

Yeah, but did you read the POU part of his post? He put, KJW last on GBBR to plink with.


Personally, I want to know why did he list KJW last? More so, I want different opinions on what makes airsoft guns accurate. Then which is better, WA or KJW GBBRs?

Since the poster of that comment said WA is good for plinking and there are cheap China clones. I figured a WA M4A1 clone would have been a good choice. Although, it is apparent that everyone says KJW is the better option.

In the end I want to do some research and make a good choice. Since I will be putting a lot of money into one rifle.

He's lying, the WA looks better on a wall, but the KJ works better overall.
With the WA or WE brass tube design, you spend $800 on the gun, then $300 on the internals to get it working to any sort of reliability, $130 a mag if you want cold weather performance, $60 a mag if you want okay mags, and the gun still breaks down every now and then.
With the KJ, you spent $700 on the gun, maybe $140 on internals, $60 a mag for the only mags you can get for it (which happen to be good mags), and the gun never breaks down!

It's cheaper, simpler, more reliable, and better.
There IS a maximum range and accuracy you can attain at a given velocity, and it's attainable by either rifle. It's just less expensive to get there with the KJ :p

Your numbers are a little off!

650 for the gun, 250 on internals and 40 a mag! (Closed bolt M4)

But yea..

660 on the KJ, 65-80 a mag and you're golden for plinking.

Well it appears that the KJW is the best choice for an M4A1. In terms of doing everything with it, such as gaming and target shooting.

There is a guy in the used GBBR section selling a KJW M4A1 with 4 mags for $450 shipped. I feel tempted to get it, but I have to wait for a pay cheque that comes in January.:banghead:

Aside from that, it might be better getting it new since I plan to use it alot. Then again, if you guys say its durable there shouldnt be any problems getting it used.

Now that I plan to get a KJW M4, what mags does it use? Can I only use KJW M4 mags? Or is it like an AK AEG, which can pretty much use any AK mag from any company?

Also, what upgrade parts should I get for the KJW and where do I get them?

There is currently only 1 mag you can use with the KJ. There are 2 more mags planned to be coming out soon, but we do not know how well they will preform in terms of gas use compared to the awesome mags we already have.

You will want to get a tight bore inner and new hopup rubber. If your going to be gaming it, you might need an NPAS to lower the FPS to field standards. There are a couple other things you might want but are not really needed right away. If you get a hold of Amos on here, he can sell you the rifle, an AI kit, and all the upgrades you will need. AND he will install them and test before he ships to you.

You WILL need to keep some silicone grease and get an AI propane adapter. Grease will be for lubing the mags and the BCG. Both of these can be obtained from AI. www.airsoft-innovations.com

It's the western arms mags, the mags work good in cold weather, the gun...not so much
