Okay perfect!
so correct me if im wrong but form what i can see i should be going with a TM , KWA or KSC M9 KSC and KWA being almost the same thing but some trademarks ( which isn't really important to me but its nice ) scarp the idea of a WE and KJW is still a decent pistol but if im looking for a more reliable gun vs full metal stick with either TM . KSC or KWA. Well all of these is extremely helpful! thank you everyone!

Western Arms SCW3 anyone? Those are nice pistols (in terms of details and feel) but definitely pricey (and I'm not sure of the performance of them). Other than that go KSC/KWA, or TM.

As for cheap pistols, a lot of people seem to have them just to have them. I saw one guy with a WE 3.8 Baby Hi-Capa that would vent gas like a mofo on the mags that didn't leak. I have a KSC Glock myself and that's my workhorse pistol. If I were to do it over again I'd still stick with the KSC Glock, it's actually great for close engagements but no further (I only pull it out if I'm engaging below my MED's).

@ sundae: You don't really need an NPAS for gas pistols, that's moreso for gas rifles that usually shoot too hot for field limits.

ThunderCactus October 20th, 2011 12:16

western arms pistols are overpriced movie guns, they're not meant for field combat lol

that is total bull shit, I have a stock WA SV6 that I game primary every week because it shoots 350 FPS and perfectly accurate out past more than 120 feet, its shoots better than most of the rifles that I see, and you can get used WA guns for very competetive prices in canada, I've bought two different fully functional WA pistols for $100 apiece

They are hard to get parts to fix though.....for post purchase servicing I'd definitely stick with TM for that reason....

DEATH2000 October 21st, 2011 12:00

I agree with RacingManiac. I have both a TM 1911 and a WA 1911 and I prefer the look and feel of the WA but sourcing replacement parts is very hard. Extra mags are usually $65 not including shipping but I never find them in stock. I need a new feed lip for the WA magazine and I have only found them on UNC.

The TM is great because replacement parts and upgrade parts are readily available as well as extra mags. Playing with a pistol isn't as fun if you only have one mag for it.

RacingManiac October 21st, 2011 12:46

And I still haven't attempted to fix a WA mag for leaks yet. TM mags are easy to work on....

DEATH2000 October 21st, 2011 13:24

My WA mag doesn't have a leak issue even though the previous owner dropped the mag as damaged it. I just have the feed lip problem. I wish I could find at least one extra mag for it. I have 3 mags for all my pistols except this one

okay so if i wanted to get a full metal, i know there is a lot out there but for taurus and KJW there pretty much the same thing right ? so if i had to go with a full metal would a taurus be a good gun to get? putting into consideration that i wanted a full metal gun no matter what i just needed a metal gun so would this be a good choice to go with ?

RacingManiac October 21st, 2011 13:36

I don't know what's Taurus, but KJW is a TM clone, which would make its eventually broken parts easier to fix...

Pesky October 21st, 2011 13:44

yeah Taurus is a trademark form cybergun i do believe and its almost the same thing or the exact same thing as KJW. and i do believe both have are similar enough to be using the same parts

Tex October 21st, 2011 13:53

cybergun taurus Beretta is made by KJW last I saw so yes same thing different trademarks.

Pesky October 21st, 2011 21:50

yeah i though it was to! just had to make sure that's all!

How upgraded is it? Stock on 134a gas, they kind of suck for gaming. Velocity isn't everything, but 210-220 fps kinda blows. For the price of a stock WA, you're better off with a TM or KSC/KWA pistol.
