Better motor + mosfet = ridiculously good battery efficiency
torque or double torque gears would be best for 400-440fps range on a 9.6v battery
consider upgrading to a 7.2v lipo with the standard gear ratio if you don't want a new gearset. You get significantly more amperage out of a lipo vs 1800mah NiMH, therefore more torque.
ehobby is really bad for rating their spring 100fps under their actual performance, please go by the ASC spring chart or reviews!
highly recommend Falcon or firefly hop rubber
highly recommend ARS piston head/cylinder head, they get the best performance I've seen of any heads
Use .3g BBs up to 440fps, .32 if you can get those, .28s if you're cheap
And the 509mm barrel works, but 420 is about where your accuracy peaks, anything past that is just a waste. 6.03 is the perfect bore IMO though

Perfect! Alot of good stuff here. Sounds like This guns getting revamped again lol Might wait til the end of season tho and save my money. Do everything over the winter

Pretty complete, but for the Piston Head, I would go with the Lonex POM Piston head. POM, or Polyoxymethylene, is like a plastic that's low-wear, low-friction, and is less brittle than Polycarb. It's the ideal thing to put in your gearbox.

A sorbo would be good, too.

Falcon really? Are you referring to the green one with the two points? I actually have the rifled barrel as well - i've never used the green falcon rubber just because i've read reviews saying it curves the bbs to the left all time.

You didn't even look up the ARS piston/cyl head did you lol
ARS cylinder head has an extra thick sorbo pad built in, and their piston head IS made of POM.
Odd note; I've machined POM before and it is just fantastic to work with

It could just be that I got the lucky one that's not defective?
I've got a falcon green in my 249 and I actually found it to be quite comparable to the firefly rubber in terms of performance, and they all fly perfectly straight. It's got a tougher design than the firefly since it's a solid bar with a cutout instead of two fingers, but time will tell how the material holds up against wear!

Sorry, was tired at time of posting.

I read 'ARS' as 'ACM'. My bad. :c

So I'm just waiting on certain sites to get parts I wanted back in stock. Until then I have a question. I've searched but found no answer.

Are VFC cylinders tapered towards one end? Or can they be reversed?

Not that I know of. Otherwise why would they have ported cylinders?

I know the latest G&P cylinders are tapered though.
