A 2nd hand EOTech 512 can be had for about U$250-350 with shipping these days - I paid U$360 for one brand new with shipping 3 years ago and don't regret it.
Considering that a Hurricane EOTech imitation is about $150 and a top-end ACM EOTech imitation is about $100 without considering shipping costs, by the time you realize what you bought can't work on your GBBR you could have save yourself 1/2 or 1/3 the effort to get a proper EOTech. For me it just makes better sense splashing out getting a 512 the first time, especially if you can already afford a GBBR.

Be patient and shop around until you find a used one at a good price. My hurricanE works fine so far, what I need is a real G23. This ACM one I have won't align no matter how much I shim it and the hinge wiggles far too much for my liking.

My ACM G23 aligns with my RS XPS3.0 just fine. A bit on the high side, but aligns. So chances are your Hurricane sights being off-spec, and even a RS G23 will not solve your problem. |
