As far as bruises and chipped teeth go, if you don't have some scratches and cuts, how do you know you had any fun at all once you wash the blood out of your clothes?????

I'm with Aper on that one, Keffiyeh (Shemagh is a uniquely british word) are very very good for protection (unless the projectile is a bullet) if you wrap it right, it acts like a BB trap and just stops 'em dead.

I'd like to do some experimentation with an egg, a keffiyeh, and my 93r on full auto. I'll be back with results in a couple of days.

Shemaghs tend to cause fogging if you cover your nose and or mouth with it, at least from my experience.

I have been playing since mid september(so about a year now), and I have only been shot in the face 4 times. The faceshots dident hit my mouth/nose or anything, they usually hit my cheek or forehead.

Is why God made dentists.

What about broken legs, arms, possible neck from other sports that are basically hobbies? Think about football, rugby, soccer, etc. Makes airsoft look pretty pansy by comparison.

If you break an arm or a leg, all you do is straighten it out and put a cast over it... it will heal itself naturally (still bone).

If you chip your tooth, that part of the tooth is gone for life. The way to look normal is to use some sort of filling to fill the missing parts of the tooth.

I have broken several bones on my hand from playing soccer and I'd rather have broken bones than a chipped tooth.

Just a quick question on the subject. I plan on sticking with a pair of Wiley-X SG-1's. Has anyone else tried them?
I'd recommend this review if you're curious

I've read and been told that those goggles fog up as hell. The Blackhawk Industries tactical goggles as well have fogging problem. I currently use ESS goggles, and never had a problem since. I also have Bolle T-800, which are pretty good as well. I would suggest the Wiley goggles if you are sniping (ask SEALs)

Yuxi; I've been wearing a shemagh all season, and never had issues with foggy lenses/goggles. Note that this may vary from a goggle/person to another.

screw a full face mask they are crap the holes dont always stop bbs and there is a little product called a mouth gaurd like foot ball rugby and most physicial sport players wear. get a cheap one. 20 bucks at wall mart might get a few bruises but no chiped teeth. as for those pics i think those are from asia where they play with insaine amounts of fps (over 500fps i have heard) i have never seen a bb stick in somone, but thats just me

It would be helpful if you mentioned what brand of mask whose holes or materials are deficient in stopping BB's, because suggesting all masks will display this tendency is misinformation.

Mouth gaurd sounds like a good idea, I'll take that under advisement myself.

Plan A) Shemaugh + Mask

+ under $100, good camo, good protecton
- hard to sight, fog, listen to retards.

Plan B) Shemaugh + Bolle T800s + Mouth Gaurd.

+ decent camo, full coverage with good breathability
- over $100, not foolproof, fog.

Plan C) Ballistic Glasses + Rambo bandana

+ look like Bono, feel the breeze biotch, can easily yell taunts to players with masks and mouth gaurds, under $100
- not financially practical unless covered by parents dental plan, injuries - but only if your Asian apparently, fog.

Greylocks August 29th, 2005 06:51

Masks are cheaper than one trip to the dentist.

Enough said. Call that being a pussy if you want, I call it common sense.
