There are three things noobs need to know for airsoft.
1. Know who is on your team, and shoot everyone else without hesitation.
2. If you think someone sees you or someone's out there, they are, and hit the deck.
3. Sitting in your backyard and taking 30 seconds to line up your shots does nothing for in-game accuracy. Put cans at various angles from a tree, and then pop in and out hitting the cans as effeiciently as possible.

point #3 is spot on

another tip:

If you don't have strong legs (gotta build my leg muscles for CQC). Spend a few minutes sprinting less than 5 meters from tree to tree and crouch, when you are out jogging or better yet when you are out doing interval runs. Of course i run through forested areas on my jogs so it does not look suspicious. :)

I strongly discourage this practice (not the "spot on" exercise). Shooting in your backyard is no good idea, unless if you live in country with your closest neighbour at 10km. Only one complaint to the police from a neighbour and your dead meat. And if you were unfortunate enough to blow up a kid's eye by accident with a BB, you would spent the rest of your life paying for this accident, added with eternal remorse of what you did to that kid.

Those are the risks you are taking. Now, think.

Of cousre you would never do this in your backyard downtown, that would ruin the sports reputation and land your butt in jail.

But the target acquisition practice I think is great for CQC at the allowable sites (range with permission, private land well away from people ).

The message i understood was: quick target attainment-shoot-hide is a great way to practice versus noob relaxed plinking.



I want to try aim-2shots-hide, next time i practice spot on
versus my noob method: shot and aim continuously.

Only three tactics n00bs need to know, and that's:

1- don't blue on blue noone
2- keep quiet and keep your head down
3- don't get dead


pretty much in that order.

you master those three, you're on your way to becoming a good player

i practiced getting the Pistol out of the hip hoster and as I drew it up I pulled back the slide...I ended up slipping and throwing my pistol halfway across the room...but a few attempts later I am successful at doing it and immidately hit a target (a sheet of paper) from 10 Ft away.

when ever you get to cover always pick your next bunker. Never get into a spot that you don't have an imediate escape from. If someone is shooting at you and you are afraid of being pinned down, pop out and squeeze off a 5-10 round full auto burst. pop back in and count to 2. Then run to your next spot. by the time you get there they should be thinking about taking another shot at you. Only, wait, where did you go? Oh shit they are out.

There will of course be loads of "yeah but I took out 5 guys all by myself" statements that are certainly true..and possible.

But for a new person .. nothing is better to learn than a experienced partner showing you how to move.. where to move, where to shoot.. and keeping you calm.

Some pointers
 

Take your time and pie every corner,
Work with a teammate (or teammates) to cover all the angles.
Use bounding overwatch with teammates to cover advances.
Think about your next move, and communicate it to your squaddies.
When you see an opportunity, seize it!

I suppose I made the mistake of assuming others lived in the middle of nowhere as I did. Okay, do it SOMEWHERE SAFE, kids. But seriously, 10 km... can you even hear the bb's from 2 km?
