I decided to look at the cam being posted in here..so I read the rest of the site as well (ya know something about reading before you buy..go figure)
I'm assuming this company is on the up and up..but something I saw went in my head as being really cheap or just blowing smoke up your kilts
http://www.hyperstealth.com/hyperstealth-chamber-ac.jpg
pardon me if I'm wrong but isnt that the hallway from the ship "Tantive IV" from Star Wars Eps III and Eps IV??? It says in explanation for it:

"HyperStealth® also intends to manufacture and sell multi-person anti-claustrophobic Hyperbaric Chambers which may utilize a special HyperStealth® Oxygen Safe Passive Negative Ion Generator currently under development but as yet untested with Oxygen."

Now I'm really damn sure Vader strolled down that hall before ordering his troops to "Tear this ship apart until you find me those plans!" :innocent:

makes me very concerned as to the quality of the product.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the hyperbaric chamber stuff seeming a bit odd... But I can assure you that these guys are on the up and up - the hyperbaric chamber stuff all tanked after Sept. 11, and then the camo side really took off.

If you have read the entire site as you say, then you'll have also seen that they've outfitted the entire Jordanian military and police with new camo designs and uniforms as well. So far in my dealings with them, they've been totally straight and squared away.

For Mike and Eddy: ;-)

Lawrence, please feel free to share this explanation with the Airsoft Canada forum:

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to recognize the chamber design was a modified hallway from Star Wars, only (6 years)!

We were looking at ordering square chambers - less claustrophobia and give it a futuristic look on the inside - hence we borrowed a hallway from the Star Wars movie and converted it with graphics. The chamber manufacturer Dr. Phil Nuytten, designed all the underwater stuff for the Movie the Abyss, http://www.nuytco.com/ and was going to duplicate this clean rectangular smooth look but we dropped running and operating Hyperbaric Chambers when the market became oversaturated with chambers and we couldn't compete in the market. However we still have the option open to manufacturer and we also have a see through chamber which we don't show on the site as the design is proprietary.

By the way in 2001 I meet with actor Michael York (Logan's run) and his wife Patricia York as they were going to support us as spokes people for our company if we went into Hyperbaric Chambers.

Now here is where is gets interesting; Patricia York is the mother of Rick McCallum (producer of Star Wars episodes 1, 2, and 3 and the re-release of episodes 4,5, and 6) from her previous marriage. Now George Lucas is very close with Patricia and she is usually the only person he will allow to do still photos of him. She requested 10 of our Passive Negative Ion Generator hats to send to Australia for her son Rick and for George Lucas as they getting ready to film Episode II. Patricia also had us send the product to Astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

So yes we did borrow from Star Wars but in the end we gave them something they wanted from us. How's that for a tradeoff!

Sincerely,
Guy

Hi JKT, just wondering what you've been paying for some of these products delivered to you, if you don't mind?
GBP would be fine as I'l just double it for cnd dollar amounts.
I'm pretty interested in some of those patterns.
Some of them look realy quite effective.
Thanx for the post as I would've never have know these guys even existed.

JKT 1 January 18th, 2006 05:58

Prices are on the pre-order page of HyperStealth's website: http://www.hyperstealth.com/specam/order/index.html

Because the ones I have at the moment are Evaluation Samples - and not full production specimens (and I had no choice on the sizes) - I got them at a slight discount. Unfortunately, Guy put the full value on the packing slip so I got charged import and VAT at full whack by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise. :smack:

HCD Woodland in the woods...

Obviously not the best terrain, or season, that HCD Woodland was designed for - but you'll get some idea at least.

Note: this uniform was made from the lightweight cotton that didn't have the "shine" problem of the heavier weight stuff.

Also note: photos were taken at ranges of approx. 10 and 20 yards.

MadMorbius February 26th, 2006 10:03

I think the regular woodland would be more effective than the HCD.
