Border is a huge problem. But I guess that if you can afford to attend that game, you can afford the trip.

As said, the invite is really nice, but it's like asking the Cuban army over with free cigars. Wont happen.

We may not have MOUT facilities ready built in Canada, but if you Google hard enough, there are plenty of deserted towns, just in Ontario, that might be possible sites.

Then you just have to get permission, insurance (it's not a MOUT site after all, it's got glass and weak floors etc), and organize tranportation and the game.

Not saying it's impossible, but it's NOT a part-time job. Mindgame Productions is a company that does it practically full time from what I understand.

Even if you did find something that you could host a MOUT game in Canada - would players really attend? They'd start complaining that it was too far/too hard to get to or they were too busy to go on that scheduled day, or it was too expensive because the cost of renting and insuring made it like $80 a person.

one hting the people in the GTA could do, is save up money and try to rent the BUST course which i believe is either in toronto or Meaford

Sorry to wade in here again Ponch...but the trip to Quebec is $60-$80 right now, and we're not having all that much trouble filling the roster.

What numbers would be needed for a good MOUT scenario? What did Irene have? Anyone?

Halloween April 11th, 2006 15:28

we're expecting at least 200-250 players for Operation Hammerfall. i'm not sure how many Irene has held but i'm thinking the numbers were up in the 200+ if not the 300+.
