The Aimpoint and front and rear sights are all removable.

If you have a loose RAS, then the barrel will also be loose. There are shims that come with many add-on RAS units to fix this problem. Mine was a little loose out of the box. I tightened it.

I guess I'm not the only one with one then. They're not very common, that's for sure.

The only difference between the two is the Paint and I had waited awhile for this unit to come through,eh! It's the same gun!But it does seem alittle odd.The Classic Army does not fit,it does't even trip the Mag. catch!I'll have to try and find some of thoes King Arms Mag.'s,Thanks!

lol I got yours then....

looks like I gotta order myself one, and soon, as Xmas is coming up :D
Now to convince the parents. any pointers for this immense task?

Mongoose December 3rd, 2006 22:47

Thanks for the info Death. It almost sounds like you have to either use King Arms Mags or G&P mags. Oh well...I guess I'll have to buy a dozen lo-caps either from King Arms or G&P.

You guys had to build these up from parts. You get choices during purchase and assembly to address whatever you come across, be it good or bad.

In this case, the creater of this thread needed specific info on the pre-built G&P version. I think he got enough to make an informed choice.

Building a gun from scratch is always the best choice for the more experienced guys, but for someone new (and not age verified as well) a pre-built version may be the best way to go.

As far as mags go, the stock G&P 130rnd didn't fit worth a shit. Not that I care, I usually throw them in the bush whenever I get a G&P gun. That's about all they're worth. I have 68rnd. from Marui, KA, CA and all work fine and don't fall out of the gun like the G&P mag. The oldest of my Marui mags don't feed that well with .25g bbs anymore in any of my M4's, this gun is no different.

Thats funny lol,I thought Mark said you had the one without the Silencer? Eh! I heard your's Chron'd kinda hot too! Or was it hear/say? how do you like it chris? I finaly had the chance to game this one tonight and she rock's!

ValkXB70 December 4th, 2006 09:59

Ya, I got the one without the silencer. I LOVE it, got a 9.6V 2700 mAh built by prarie battery, gone through about 10 mags in my basement. No feeding problems with my KA, TM or Milspex mags. She's a tad warm on the chrono for indoor, but perfect for outdoor.

DJ_Mittens December 4th, 2006 11:17

Why did you go for 9.6? The 8.4 is already damn powerful; I'd imagine she's hot already.

I thought someone said theyre TM and CA's dont fit... Hmm...maybe I read it wrong.

SINN December 4th, 2006 12:47

I have to hold my STAR/MAG/TM mags up with my hand to get the hop up to click on the mag's bb catch. The click into the magcatch fine though.

My G&P mags work mint with it. My G&P body is over a year old now.

thePiRaTE!! December 4th, 2006 13:07

Just a little pointer that might help out to get the mag catch to lock in -

If the mag won't lock in - remove the plastic guts of the mag and use a three angled file judiciously to raise the top of the mag catch slot a bit. Just do a fraction of a mm at a time, replace the plastic and test it with the gun in question. I had to do this to my PTS mags to get them to fit into my MRP but now they're good to go.

If they're too loose, I'd say you're f**ked :( Make sure before you decide this is the case that the mag catch isn't simply grabbing the top of the plastic instead and making it seem too loose when in fact its the problem above though.

DJ_Mittens December 4th, 2006 13:39

SINN, it's like your mag catch is just a little lower than the one in both mine and valkxb70's weapons. Is your just the body, or was it the full AEG?

SINN December 4th, 2006 13:47

Yeah, it's off by about 1 mm when I mark where it sits, to where it catches the bb. I bought the pre-upgraded G&P M4 so everything was G&P at the time. I now have the carbine length RAS unit which looks killer. I also have since changed to the Prometheus hop up and even tried a TM mag catch but no difference.

DJ_Mittens December 4th, 2006 15:33

That's odd, because both mcguyver and I say we have the same problem. I don't know about his AEG, but mine is the Special Forces Marines edition; effectively the same except longer foregrip and no silencer.
