well, for me, being age verified doesnt mean anything about being able to buy guns, its more or less to get respect out of people, because i know when they see a post by someone whos not age verified, or doesnt have 2901250971359 posts, they just dont care, or they flame... me and my room mate already have 5 AEGs, 1 shotgun, and a plethora of pistols.
and no, im not talking welfairsoft clear guns..

SINN July 12th, 2007 15:26

it's not the age verification tab that gets you respect from anyone..

It's the super cool guy secret handshake only shown at games. You did know about that didn't you?

DC_ACU July 12th, 2007 15:28

lol, ITS TOO MUCH TO REMEMBER!!! i cant remember all of it...
oh well, maybe airsoft isnt the hobby for me, with all that technical handshake 1337n355

Look at my trader rating...

I think there is a verification issue.
I saw that in Calgary there wasn't a quick enough turn around time so I put my name forth via PMs exactly how the thread stated to the powers that be stating I would be happy to start verifing people in the region. I NEVER EVEN RECIEVED A RESPONSE.
if the admins here don't care about making the process better why should I?

Really Jay? Didn't know that. Hmmm.. Wonder how my message will be recieved then, as I just sent out my request to start doing it to help Gish out as he is the only one in our area doing it anymore. The regional list needs a little bit of sprucing up.

The same thing kind of happenes even in our local clubs. I do know what you are feeling with the not ever getting any messages back. Happened to me a year ago with some stuff, but they did eventually get back to me.

I do believe there are some issues with age verification. I'm sure there could be new ways of doing this, safely and securely. With out problems, there would be no need for innovation.

some things that have come up in the past
-web camera with appropriate identification

I mean, if there is a group of volunteers that would like to try get things going for online verification, I'd like to help. It would have to be more strict online with more than 1 piece of ID.

or even if airsoftcanada some more volunteers in Quebec, I'd gladly help out if I can. I'm a student @ Concordia, so it's really accessible to anyone in the dt mtl area. During the semester you can pretty much count on me 5/7 days to be where I should be...

I have no quarrels with you sir. My only quarrel is with him. He is the scoundrel who makes it hard to get verified. His hot temperment towards me as it is mine towards him. We share a bond of unearthly vengance and unhumanly dislike. For the only thing wrong between us is that....

Small town goers (ie those in NWO, and probably most of Northern Ontario, and anywhere else in Canada isolated from civilization), it's hard to get verified with out driving a fair distance (the closest to me being in Winnipeg, which isn't quite a stone's throw). Now I'm not complaining on my behalf (although If I missed a hot deal on an Infinity or a Hi Capa in the GBB classifieds, I might complain), no, I'm not complaining for me, because I'll be back in Hamilton within the next couple months. I'm complaining about the thinly spread verifiers for all those who don't get out of shit holes like Dryden very often. I really don't have a problem with the wait, after all, it's just more time to save up those pennies.
Besides, if Airsoft were more readily available to such people, the sport might gain alot of strength, especially since up here in Northern Ontario, there are alot of nice forests and fields, and lakes and mountainous/rocky/cliffy terrain to develop playing site out of.
But I suppose thinly spread verifiers is only half that problem. Education of the sport to those responsible and trustworthy enough to handle it kind of needs to come first....

And some of them I use there personal email.

The point is not about do or dont do age verification.

It about the way it s done!! I understand... there is a life beside airsoft!!

Think again about webcam! Why a person who already have age verification could not make the verification...??

And I totaly agree... the verificator should not have to go, it should be the newby who have to make the transport.
