no, try to cross the border with it, I'm sure the border agents will be understanding and skip the cavity search. :)

LOL imo they're both equally as crappy, so what company's name do you want on the side? lol
Can't go wrong with TM if your on a budget

Considering lately JG are metal (some not all) + TM internals (or similar) and half the price i'll say you can only go wrong with TM :D

My friends JG MP5 RAS performs exactly the same as the TM variant, except it shoots a bit stronger and its full metal. A lot cheaper also. TM needs to up its game if it wants to stick around. JG aren't the only 100% TM clones that performs the same for a lot less ether.

Dont foroget ThunderCactus, with respect to whats on the outside, you gotta remeber whats running on the inside too.

CA metal gears for the JG i poped open. Piston was deff not CA (at least it didn't look like the CA piston head that was in my SR-25).

Yeah i'll say it again, TM needs to up their games if they want to stick around. To many clones that performs the same for a lot less money. And its not for 1-2 month, more like 6-10 month and sometimes more.

Every AEG I own gets a nice new shiny systema red polycarb piston. Gears I dont mind keeping whatever is stock, the only thing I would consider using for a swap out would be modify gears. But I usually just leave it as is, as my upgrades dont require much more than a good spring guide, and spring guide. The pistons just cause for fun.

RANT

the thing about clones is, they are clones. If TM and other companies dissappear, so do the new guns. Also i find that the internals of TM guns, although not as 'peppy' are still the most reliable. Lastly TM makes guns for a japenese market, where FPS is not the goal, longevity is, the clones however are made for a more 'american' mentality of > fps = better gun

Its true, shifty51 has a point, you only need to touch your opponent with the BB, not punch a hole through them.

This makes me wonder how the JG HK416 I have ordered (see AEG sales section for those of you who are verified) will hold up. I hope I don't get a lemon and wind up with a broken mechbox on its first fielding - Chinese quality control is somewhat of a concern for me.

Mind you, it IS only $360...

Ronan January 13th, 2008 23:44

Theirs only one important thing when buying a clone. Is it a 100% clone of a big brand gun? If it is, you got a winner.

Why? heck if something breaks you can stick parts compatible with the original, hence why JG are awesome, 100% TM Clones. If it fits on or in the TM one it fits on the JG with zero modifications :)

THAT makes a clone good.

Ooh, I dont know I think we shall be fine Wilson. The seller stated that he gave it all a testing before when he first got them. I'll probly crack it open when I get it, max sure its greased properly, swap out a few of the parts, maybe , maybe not, its all dependant on what first impression it makes when I put a few rounds through it.

Over all though, I think we should be ok.
