Thanks so much i really appreciate that!

Get the Marui :)

That sounds good! but i have always been under the impression that between CA and TM, CA is more durable. The thing is though, i dont know if i want to add an RAS to my M14 in the future. If that IS the case, i will go for the TM cause all of the RAS units that i found are for TM anyway. off topic, but what hi-cap mags do you recommend for your gun? and what internal upgrades, such as spring etc did you put in your TM to make it shoot that high? If i do that, will my gun wear out quickly and if so, how quick is "quickly"

how is the G&G M14? (http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...roducts_id=56). Is it better worse or similar to the TM and CA M14?

Donster September 20th, 2007 22:51

what version of mechbox does the TM m14 have. On mechbox.com they said Version 7 i beleive. if this is true, i cant find any retailer that carries repalcement gears and bushings for that version of mechbox.

You really could have put most of that into one reply. Theres an edit button.

What are the cons of the G&G's M14. If someone has one and can point out first hand information it would be appreciated.

Their internals suck, basically on par with SRC, or basically sub-Marui quality. Their assembly procedures sucked, at least on the 2 that I worked on. Poor lubrication, either to little or too much Poor shimming. And their mag is not interchangeable with anyone else's. Now, this was 2 years ago since I worked on one, so maybe they've improved themselves a bit since then.

so then between the TM M14 and the CA M14, which would you recommend me to get as my first gun? Also, do y ou know if the RAS units for the M14 can go on the CA M14? Thanks!

Jughead September 22nd, 2007 22:54

I have seen and shot a few TM M14s and they seem pretty reliable and rigged.

The one that I liked the most was a M14 TM SOCOM, with a RAS.. Heavy gun but sexy as hell.

upgrade as you go and you should be happy.

As for CA, personally i have found their QC to be fairly poor. Missing bolts, screws, springs and so on. 2 guns in a few months that have been crap, and needed me to tear apart and rebuild out of the box.

If you buy, I would go throuh Ken at 007. His guns seem to be more reliable and better priced than A&A. I think he has some in stock now.

Yes, it's version 7. I can order for you gears, bushings, piston, cylinder, cylinder head, piston head, nozzle, spring guide, selector arms, whatever you need for that gun.

I'd still say you can't go wrong with TM over CA. The last two CA guns I've worked on had horrible internals, extremely poor air seals and wild shot groupings. The exterior is nice... but the guns required over $200 in new premium internals to get it firing right.
