Sorry for my bad English.

No worries Pretorian, we can understand you just fine. I wish machien shops were more common here in the US as I need a barrel drilled and tapped for my AICS (I've got one of the Best Gun M24 Fluted barrels and the screw holes are too far out).

Cheers,
Vic.

The difference here in North America is that this ''expertise'' with CNC is quite expensive. Even the most simple stuff will end up killing your wallet for good...
More often that not you'll need a great volume to have reasonable price for each item. And even if engraving looks simple you'll still need specialised tools to achieve good results, not to mention setup time due to metal body irregular shape.

1. ELCAN C79 (RS)
2. Colt Canada TRI AD I (RS)
3. Cadex grip & rail (RS)
4. Colt Canada BUS (RS)
5. Colt Canada plastic handguards (RS)
6. Colt Canada plastic butt stock w butt pad (RS)
7. Canadian Forces issued C7 sling (RS)
8. Canadian Forces issued Eickhorn Bayonet 2000 (RS)

What??? How do you even source that RS stuff? (I'm assuming you probably did some things you're not too proud of in order to get your hands on that stuff). What kind of price are you looking at for everything total?

Looks sexy but I bet you it cost more than just getting an RS AR15 right off the bat (but at least you can shoot your friends with your airsoft C7 :D ).

Also.... I know it's kind of off topic but is there any way I could get my hands on an RS VSS Vintorez stock for relatively cheap (and no I don't want to use a Dragunov stock and pretend I want as close to the real deal as possible as you can understand like how you did your C7 project)? What about an RS PSO-1 or PSO-1-1? I know the 4x might be a bit useless in airsoft but I'll probably use the iron sights if anything (but the 4x might be useful for scouting).

Vince March 6th, 2011 09:48

Mmmmmmm getting hands on real stuff isn't hard at all. You might even be aware or a website name Ebay, yeah supposedly you can found some interesting stuff over there

Pretorian March 6th, 2011 10:34

All these things was bought at different times in different places within 5 years. Moreover covers for triad itself triad, the green cover for the C79 itself C79, cadex grip and matching rail, butt stock and butt pad was bought separately. They are very hard to find items and I do not think that you can buy the whole kit at once.
As for the price it is not as high as it might seem.

Nothing is impossible but you must be very lucky guy to get a real VSS stock. PSO is easier to find one, but this thing has a very high demand in Russia.
I know russian guys that make airsoft vss. On the pictures it looks good but their buyers say that the quality is not very high

.... Hmmm I guess I'll have to fabricate my own, and I don't think I could bring myself to boring out a hole in an RS VSS stock to fit in a motor (if I get one I'd probably have to fit it onto a GBBR).

Anyways.... the plan is to use high quality parts for the base and either fab or find external parts and dremel/modify them to fit.

Anyways your C7 looks good and if you've just pieced it together over a long time I'm sure I could find a few parts and fab the ones I can't then put together a kickass VSS. I'm planning on using it as a DMR/counter sniper.
