Problem with the socks though is they'll retain water. It would be like wrappin your gun in a sponge. No thanks
|
For the sake of avoiding any further yellow stain jokes I bleached the socks using the powers of photoshop...
Also I don't know if it's just me but when I play I rarely find myself in the prone. The lowest I usually get is taking a knee, other than that most of the time I am standing/running. So with the way I play as long as it wasn't snowing out I think my gun would stay pretty dry. However I can't speak for everyones playing styles... |
I liked that bandage idea, seems easier than cutting up some old socks, not to mention cleaner ;)
So I raided the first aid kit and found a perfect bandage, and wrapped up the gun again. This looks much better, and is not nearly as high on the ghetto scale. Also worked great in the snow... http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2083/croppedxj9.jpg http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/815/dscf0144ov8.jpg |
its the star wars pillow that does it for me :)
|
My roommate until this year had star wars sheets, star wars blanket and star wars pillows, with star wars figures on the wall and star wars posters up on many of the walls.
Pillow is nothing... |
Yea, whats sweet about that pillow is it's from the late 70's or early 80's. Vintage man, vintage.

I was thinking of using a white thick plastic bag tied down with white string or maybe kept loose to break up the shape of the gun and to make it more water resistant. I never really wanted to paint my gun to make it fit different environments. I'll just but some multicam cloths/strips for summer. |
