You look nothing like what I thought you would.. weird.....

Amos February 14th, 2008 16:34

Spray your holster... Or get a new one... IMO those cheap droplegs are garbage, they shift when running... Mount it on your vest, That way when you take a knee you wont get a gun full of mud.

Until awile back I did too :) you're still on my list of people to meet before I die though!

Glowsticks are handy just 'cause never know when you're going to need them.

Nice looking vest though :( I need one (still)

PROTIP 3: MULTICAM DOES NOT ACTUALLY WORK THAT WELL IN GREEN FOLIAGE.

Aquamarine will be proud of that statement!

Is like a dotted line, depends on the sunshine pouring through the spaces between the trees, and the amount of dead shit in the area. I've been told a couple times when running and gunning through the woods I'd be seen then disappear, then seen and disappear. Quite literally it all depends on movement and lighting. Cadpat can show up as a very dark silhouette often as well. There is no perfect "mulitcam", only perfect use of camo.

And as far as multicam being "airsoftcam" about a month ago I saw (think it was on Future Weapons) a 101st Airborne exercise using (can't remember the technology) full multicam. And since even the RCMP have adopted multicam as their special uniform...................

And as much as people complain about multicam, I can't help but laugh at say "At least Multicam clothing isn't sold at Walmart like MARPAT and woodland is!" Lol

so people use glow sticks for lighting up rooms in CQB?

Yup, just snap them and throw them in. It helps light up dark rooms and that way you dont have to use your lights to give away your position. Some folks dont know what to do when a glow stick gets tossed in, alot of the time they just stand there and stare at it.

For me, when that happens theres many things you can do, throw it back, but that gives away your position, or pick it up and cram it down your pants, which effectively extinguishes the light, but they still know your there, finally, take less than a split second to analyze the room and see how the light is cast, then get into the best dark spot, take a deep breath and flush up against a wall, hopefully by a door. Take a bouncy ball or squeeky toy (yes I carry shit like that on me when I play), when they walk in the room you throw the ball or toy away from you, most folks go for the noise, thats when you silently take a step out the door and leave the area.I could probly list dozens of method and possiblilies that require certain varibales to pull off but you get the idea.

Cool. I think I might just have to trade the holster for a different colour. This one is made by Mil-Force...

Just got the OD Canada Flag for 3$ at Beavers Surplus today. :D

Who are you gonna shoot first here, me (in multicam) or Hazard (in cadpat)?

Or here (me in multicam)?

Sometimes multicam stands out REALLY bad (like ACU does 90% of the time unless in the desert and very dirty); other times it's better than cadpat, marpat, etc........... pick your preference.

MadMorbius February 14th, 2008 19:42

Pictures don't show silhouette, sound, shape, shine, texture etc. All the camouflage in the world wont do a damn bit of good if you're silhoetted.

Point is, and you've already said as much, that Multicam really isn't any better than anything else. Like any other system, it's only as good as the person wearing it and the environment it's worn in. Unfortunately, it's become the airsoft-standard uniform, and beyond me if I can understand why.
