This is just what ive heard from other players but its supposed to be closing down too. But those are just rumors.

its not rumored

They have been given a shut down order. They have been operating under a by law endorsment for 3 years.. and the counsel simply can't continue to allow it.

The use of the land is outside the official plan for the municipality, so it is illegal for them to continue to operate.

The counsel gave them to 2009 to find a new location and directed the land use commitee to assist them in finding a new location that would fit within the official plan.

If you look around the area.. you can see residential development begining to encroach.. I suspect this land is earmarked for development.

Not much room for suspicion, apparently they're putting in a new bridge between KW and Kossuth.

That's not "apparently" either! They are making that new bridge over the Grand River between Fairway Road and Fountain Street I believe, very, very soon.

Good point about the development too. If that area goes the way of West/Southwest Kitchener, I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of condo's or something right on where the field is in under 5 years.

Then the soccer moms would be literally LIVING in what was once our territory....oh the humanity!!!! Would somebody PLEASE think of the gun nuts!!

Well I'm not yet old enough to play in any events, so I can't really get out anywhere. It's just that MOST of the airsoft events posted on this forum are Paintball fields that we use to play airsoft. You siad there are 5 dedicated fields in Ontario, can you please post them with there links? Thanks

it's not over til the field stops taking our business. Joe reads the ASC, so I won't post to much, but I've told him what I've been able to find out from my sources. oh and before someone goes and asks, "sources?" I won't get into it cause it's where I work. But I'm keeping my ear to the ground on this.

LZ Woodstock, I don't have a link for it, but I host only airsoft games there. 100 acres of beautiful forested land with scrub brush and variable terrain, then there's Wolfpack's area in Muskoka to name 2 right off the bat.

EDIT: Although I should make a facebook page or something for it

Thank you Red Comrade

both fields are closing but the indoor is staying as far as joe has said. hes looking for a new area but word has it the committee isn't helping much. he wants to keep it in the same area. i dont blame him. good base and who wants to commute? hes not really thrilled about moving all his setup either.
