Keep hearing that you need to drop 200$+ just to get a half decent throat mic. While I am willing to pony up cash for a good long term piece of equip, 200$ just to wear a mic on the neck instead of on a boom is a tad crazy. lol

Paid $160 for my IASUS NT3, with necessary hardware for Garmin Rhino units.

I think the NT series as many other throat mic out there actually don't use the vibration of air to produce sound signal, but the physical vibration in your voice box, and it also don't pick up ambient noice which produce clear transmission. Correct me if I'm wrong.
