35 yards sound about right, at our field we have 35yards measured out for the practise targets and most stock AEG can hit the targets ok but much further then that and they start to have problems.

Hm, there's so much stuff that can reduce the distance, have you noticed any wind, BBs you're using (Brand and Weight), hop up like others said?
If you're using quality BBs, lubing up your hop up rubber, and shooting at a proper distance, you probably got yourself a normal CA.

If it's possible, why not chrono it and see the results? That helps alot.

When life gives you lemons, you clone those lemons, and make.. super lemons..

Like Amos said, cranking the hop up all the way will probably make it worse. It's a fire... adjust hop.. fire again... adjust... until you get it right.

Also, check the quality of BB's. wal-mart does NOT suffice for ammo.

My M15A4 rifle is upgraded with a 6.03mm tightbore and Prometheus MS110SP spring (about 385 fps), and its effective range is only about 150 feet with a man-size target. So I'd say you're going fine at 130 feet.

Get a new hopup sleeve and bucking. That should make a nice difference.

what brand and weight of bbs are you using?

incrediboy729 September 7th, 2008 00:08

I used some walmart (they were .2gs but yes i was an idiot) bbs i had lying around, but am switching over to KSC perfects. I did use some high quality bbs and they were the ones that got me up to 35 yards. Also that 35 yards is aiming for the head and hitting the chest. The walmart ones however are not as good range wise. My next upgrade is going to be a Prometheus tightbore and some brand of hopup.

Styrak September 7th, 2008 00:25

You should chrony your gun.

incrediboy729 September 7th, 2008 00:32

I'd like to get another hop up, but i'd rather not have to file anything off my gun, so...
Will I need to modify anything to put in a king arms or systema hop up? Also which is better in your guy's opinion?

Skladfin September 7th, 2008 00:33

WOW dude

upgrade your skills before you upgrade your gun

Styrak September 7th, 2008 00:38

Wasn't he also the same one that couldn't understand that aiming down your sights at something 5 feet in front of you won't work to hit it where the sights are aiming?

Dude, have you not adjusted your sights or are your BB's just dropping?
