Nah...just buy a new stock TM Hicapa 5.1 (for accuracy) or a 4.3 (for combat) and sell off the gremlin plagued one you have to someone who's a sucker for a problematic fixer-upper (ahem..cough, cough). :D just kidding

Sort of...here's where it really starts to not be worth it... You end up getting one part or another to upgrade one thing, then find that another thing isn't working and go to swap that out, etc.... Eventually you find that you've spent 2-3x what the original pistol cost and it's 95% working properly and just one more little piece will fix it...

I'm about $200 in the hole "fixing" a near-free Hicapa....and will probably toss another $100+ into it before it works (at least I'm hoping this fixes it...)

I think it is the Loading nozzle rubbing against the rubber O ring creating a lot of friction. And yes the Loading Nozzle tips also appears to have some scratch marks. So yes it must be the Mismatched Outer Barrel and to TM Plastic Slide. :D

Too bad I did not get the Plastic outer barrel slide with it :( (2nd Owner from Kamatokai)

So I guess I need a new Blowback unit and revert back to stock outer barrel slide?

Using a metal outer barrel with a plastic slide and enhanced recoil springs almost always guarantees a bashed up slide.

No, a new blowback unit isn't required to be purchased to fix the problem. What you need is a new slide to match the outer barrel. And to get your existing blowback unit to fit properly. I have tons of replacement blowback units in stock, but if you can't get your stock one to fit, you'll have the same problem with an oem replacement or a 3rd party replacement.

Yeah, no time to fix and hunt parts down, I've been down that road too many times

SOLUTION: To Dull Stopping Loading Nozzle

So I sat and thought and thought and thought. Then ding ding! I remember from my G&P Gun Care set I had a Cylinder Grease which is used to put onto the O-ring of a Piston Head when placing it into a Cylinder.

So I thought Why not I mean its pretty much the same thing just on a smaller scale.

AND Voila out of my own stupidity of not doing this in the first place I got it fixed!
