i'm pretty sure it was the silicone , either that or the crossman soft air oil.
it was gunk heavy duty silicone lubricant. and it was in an aerosol can. so double whammy! i guess its used to hinges and locks and stuffs!

i gots some 10 weight shock oil in the mail. did my research only after my seals swelled up like a bloated goat and split and tore! anyone know where i can buy 5 weight online?

Odd. I've used 10 weight shock oil for years in my TM G26A, TM Mk23 and my Maruzen MP5 without incident. I suspect the oil you have has some type of additive.

MadMax on here IS Airsoft Innovations, so yo ucan PM him if need be. I've never had any issues with buying form him in the past, no one else has either. Just keep in mind he is a one man business, and often travels to Asia and elsewhere, so don't expect an immediate "Will be in the mail in two hours" type of respeonse. Carl is a busy boy at times, but does his best (which is very good actually).

Pure silicone oil (like RC shock oil) won't cause rubber/silicone to bloat no matter what weight; if that happened, there was something else in the oil, or it wasn't silicone oil.

You also mentioned Crossman Pellet Gun oil or something at some point (your typing makes my head hurt so I'm not inclined to go back to check); that stuff will also cause bloating, its meant to help fix small leaks on heavy duty o-rings (the kind used in CO2 guns).

Only correct unless dealing with the rubber compound KSC uses for their M11A1 mags and hop up rubber, both bloat no problem with RC shock oil. Yet neither my KSC G19s (or my 7 mags), or my KSC MK23 (or my two mags) are affected at all.

Thanks for the info on the crosman soft air lube. I suspect it was because the oil was arisol, but honestly I didn't have any problems until i used the crosman oil.



here is a question and a statement , not necessarily in that order.

I know all the numbers of the parts i need for my gun but cant find anyone who sells the individual parts. I probably could buy them from ksc but I cant read japanese or even install the language pack on my crappie computer. Does anyone know where i can get the individual rubber parts?

I run a hobby shop in barrie Ont and a large bottle of 10-20 weight silicone oil goes for a whole $4.95. Pretty much a life time supply as you only need a drop here and there. stuff works awesome other silicone sprays i have tried are to thin to do the job. Team Losi and Trinity oils are great.

Silicone rubber is terribly susceptible to silicone oil absorption which is why I avoid Guarder hop up sleeves completely. Most of the seals used in airsoft are not silicone rubber because it actually has terrible tear resistance and it's intolerance to silicone oils that we use to condition most of our other seals makes it pretty garbage material.

so what do i do about my hop up sleeve? I meant the gun doesn't really work well without it does it? is there another alternative for it?

when i try to fire my gun now the pellets jsut sorta plop out. it sucks:(
