Baseline M4's are around 550 or so, I'm not sure about CA RIS but those are generally more expensive outside of canada, so that's reflected when they come into canada.

Alot of the times it's better to buy aftermarket (if you buy good aftermarket stuff and not cheap Chinese clone stuff) that way your RIS will be a higher quality of metal and it will stand up to more abuse :) (A matter of CNC VS Cast)

people are always moving guns. since you are more interested in the M4, there is a greater chance that you will see those once you get verified. also considering the fact that AR's are so interchangable, don't be afraid to purchase something slightly different then upgrade it to the way you like it. you can always sell off the unneeded parts when you're done with them as there are always going to be people who are looking for random parts to build from the ground up or to replace broken bits.
