no strip to configure it for lefties, its completely ambidexterous, ambi mag release, ambi fire select, and the charging handle can be switched from side to side
the upper is a sand/tan colour, with a metallic finish

Would you mind linking me to that?

EDIT Nevermind I just found it.

I was going to get the JG M4 GBBR but I might bite the bullet and sink an extra $200 and get this.

Saw FN Herstal SCARs at the 2009 shot show in Tan and Black....WE SCARs look very very similar....that is why I have one....

Hey Rez, Im a lefty too and the Scar is awesome and looks great in Tan. I had the choice when I bought mine and had the Tan and Black Side by side. Hands down I picked the Tan over the Black. Also no more bumping the fire selector with your finger and having the Semi half-way to Auto and getting the sound of gears grinding or no fire.. on M4's and getting shot when you have the drop on someone lol ..

REZ, before you go buying the eglm, make sure that it fits first. The Star one fits the star scar like a glove, it's a bit loose on the VFC and it doesn't even fit on the classic army.

If anyone around your area has an EGLM I suggest asking them politely if you can do a test fit onto the WE scar before you get one.

the color changes depending on the light and the angle you're looking at it from - see my photos below: same room, same camera settings, same everything except for where I shot them from, and you can see the color of the metal upper is different in the two shots.

I am confident that my white balance was pretty spot-on, and the colors look exactly as I saw them in person when the shots were taken.

I much prefer the color in the first pic but unfortunately you will see the color difference in real life, under different lighting conditions / viewing angle.

Does anyone know if the real SCAR's upper is like this too?

Colors are off because you did not compensate for your flash. Hence why it looks lighter than it actually is. It's hard to properly compensate because TAN/FDE are VERY light sensitive. Plastic and metal also reflects light differently into your camera.

The color is really based on personal opinion i think. People see different colors in different ways. The scar's colors will be offset by a bit no matter what honestly, but the WE scar looks pretty spot on in my opinion.

You mean the upper and lower colors?

Thats normal that they look different. One is plastic, the other metal.
