Shooting someone at close range outside of an actual game is probably one of the stupidest things you can do. We take airsoft safety very seriously here. These are not toys, despite the fact that kiddies everywhere seem to think they are. We treat these guns with the same respect as we do real firearms, taking the same precautions and safety procedures. The ONLY exception is that we shoot each other while gaming when everyone is wearing eye protection.

You won't get much help or support from the community for declaring yourself to be an irresponsible user.

:D

Thats what I told him.

Um... we were using safety goggles and yes they were meant for air soft i'm not stupid enough to shoot at anyone not wearing head gear i just figured you would have known or assumed we were wearing head gear

So let's wait for the staff to close this thread, we don't need to help an idiot lower his FPS just so he can shoot his bros ass and get his parents approval so he or she can shoot his/her brother's ass.

Your be surprised the number of stupid stunts we hear kids (whether or not you're 18 is irrelevant) bragging about. By your initial post, that's what it sounded like.

No not here to brag was actually looking for a way to turn the velocity down so that wouldn't happen i was kinda assuming it had a velocity tuner like gas powered guns but to my dismay it didn't I was hoping to get age verified soon so I can start looking into games and classifieds to buy a better gun and actually play with people that don't cry over such mediocre pain

Crunchmeister January 13th, 2010 13:41

You'll find that unlike paintball, you can't tune airsoft guns, even gas ones. The only way to tune AEGs is by swapping springs, which requires a complete teardown of the gun and its mechbox. Pistols can usually have minor velocity changes made with replacing some internals, but the velocity changes are minimal.

And as long as you're 18, you can play. You just can't get access to the all-black guns and retailers in the private sections of this site. And many games will have age-verifiers in attendance, so it's easy to get verified.

Many of us shoot our buddy's ass at games regularly. It's part of the retarded comradery we all enjoy. If he want sto shoot his brother's ass up close, is up to him. Maybe if his dad wanted to see what it felt like under similar circumstances, he might realize his son is just being a wee Jessie and say the velocity of the gun isn't as bad as it was made out to be. :P

Ok thanks alot probably see me at the next Toronto/Hamilton game which looks to be at CQB paint ball but I'm not 100% sure because if there air soft prices are anything like the paint ball prices I will not got way to expensive lol

Crunchmeister January 13th, 2010 13:56

Unlike paintball games, you can usually bring your own ammo to airsoft games. At $10 for a bag of 2000 BBs, ammo cost is not an issue.

Hmmm where are you from? I wouldn't mind to teach a person the ropes if you were in Hamilton :) and because Hamilton has one field known as soldier of fortune and it costs 20$ for the day and I wouldn't mind hosting a outdoor game even if it's cold but too many bums hate the cold :(

CDN_Stalker January 13th, 2010 14:04

Ammo cost and realism is what makes airsoft cool and paintball uber lame. Among other things of course, like paintball lets in 14 year old retards where airsoft doesn't.

Depends on the gun. An NPAS on a GBBR can tune the FPS. Changing the hammer spring or flow valve on a GBB can also tune the FPS.

Wasn't meant as a cut n dried statement. I agree with you though.
