The cap does not fit, and since I'm lazy, I didn't bother searching for the right one, I just swapped the internals in the original cap, with a metal washer to ensure good electrical contact between the different diameters.

It is an aluminum sealed housing, takes two CR-123 batteries, is plenty bright, and comes with a rail mount and pigtail with pressure switch. The normal end cap has a pressure switch on the end of it.

It costs $15.99 USD with all of the accessories included. I saw this at a gun show, and my friend bought it. I thought it would not be good for the price, and I was definitely proven wrong. I used it at Pine Plains, OP Red Reign, and several other big ops with night games, and so far it still works great.

I'd recommend Fenix brand flashlights. I've handled Surefires in the past and you get a better bang for your buck with the the latest Fenix ones (can't really speak for the older models). The Fenix LD20 is worth a try.

Xenon bulbs have a limited lifespan, and also drain batteries faster. Add in the fact they have a yellowish light............... I used to have a Streamlight Scorpion, 80 Lumens I recall, would go through the CR123 batteries quickly, run time would be 1.5hrs.

Now own two Surefires, the G2 LED and the G2 LED Combat Light, both LED and same batteries, run time is around 12hrs and put out 65 Lumens of white light. They are awesome, and VERY bright. Don't need huge amount of Lumens (500 will likely kill a vampire), unless you are trying to spot bombers flying at 30,000ft in the dark in order to try to shoot them down with flak.

I'm running the TK12R2EX (Basically, TK12 revision 3 that can take 18650 batteries). It is bright, the strobe is epileptic, and the pressure switch is very high quality. The main distributor is in Canada, they seem to be Israeli designed with at least some of the parts made over there. The shipping is incredibly cheap within Canada. I got the red filter to preserve night vision, they accidentally shipped me a blue filter (and it is blue, not UV), and then fixed it by sending me the red... Yay, I now have two filters. Goto Dealextreme for the 18650 batteries and just watch how long the run time is.

Great site! I saw that the 18650s are all 3.7v batteries, and wondered if my Fenix LD20 could use these. On the package it says that it takes 1.5v batteries, but is it possible to go higher without burning the LEDs out? Or would using higher volt batteries have more severe consequences like short circuiting something.

I would recommand JETbeam / Eagle tac. If you like LV or Gucci, get Surefire.

I personally use SF E2D LED and I don't think you need anything more than 125 lumen.

I am all about the LV and Gucci...lol

E2D LED is great, good deal on the previous year's model on eBay right now(120 Lumen), 2010 model is 200 lumen.
