Although that chart is a good base point to compare the velocity between different springs, it can't really be used to predict an accurate velocity from any given spring. There are too many other variables in a gun that produce its given FPS.
I forgot that in my original post thanks for pointing that out. And for mags if you want mid caps can't go wrong with CA mags they feed flawlessly in my buddy's G&G not sure about ICS compatibility. He uses these 2 http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1560 and http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1522

And I will eventually upgrade my M4 more, so I will be hoping for about 370 after; new barrel(6.04?), new nozzle, new piston head(looking at the Angel silent combo), and probably a new motor(something high torque most likely).

And I just ordered that EoTech clone from DealExtreme, should come in a few weeks.

A few points.

When buying barrels, the actual size doesn't really matter as much as the brand does. Prometheus is generally considered the best brand to buy inner barrels from. They stuff they produce is VERY high quality. If you are on a budget, Madbul v2 barrels are decent for the money.

As for nozzles, piston heads, and most other mechbox parts, I still recommend Prometheus, or, if your on a bit of a budget, modify. You can buy just tons of great modify parts in canada from airsoftparts.ca

Also, don't forget, ICS hop-ups are not compatible with after-market hop-up chambers without modification.

I have devised a list of the parts I'm going to be buying, but I would rather buy them in person. Are there any retail stores in the GTA that would have mainly a M4/m16 switch assembly?

pusangani February 10th, 2010 14:00

airsoftparts.ca is in the gta

Thanks, would you know if they have a retail store, or somewhere I can stop by? I can't seem to find an adress on their site.

Hey,

With regards to your post about upgrades: I own an ICS M4 and have put well over $1000 worth of upgrades into it so from experience, I would suggest not changing the nozzle because it will more than likely cause feeding issues. Stick with the stock ICS one.

For mags, the king arms ones work well and are a great value.

For alittle more than you budgeted for you can get 5 full metal mags that feed well.

Hop up rubbers: go guarder clear....cheap and work really well with your targeted FPS

If you have any other questions, pm me and I'll reply as quick as I can

PS: Stick with airsoftparts.ca Best service you can get and local aswell!!

Thanks for the advice Greenpunk, I'll change my list around a little bit. I think I might stick with the standard Hi cap mag untill I realize how much I reload, and what type of mag I would like the most.

And thanks Pusangani, will do.

pusangani February 10th, 2010 16:43

You will never get a sense of reloading with a hicap, best to get some midcaps or go to a game and ask to borrow some mags so u see whether u need mid aps or locaps or realcaps.

Even if u get midcaps and don't like them u can always just sell or trade them for lows/reals

rokor February 10th, 2010 20:52

I think I may just dive in a get a few mid caps then. Thanks.

I've been searching around for some metal revievers, and I can't seem to find any. A member on this site said they can only(rarely) be purchased on the classifiedss, is this the only way I can get my hands on a set(upper and lower, mainly looking for lower).

Pretty much yes. We treat receivers the same as full guns (and so does CBSA for importation, since the receiver is the "gun" in Canadian gun laws)

The lower receiver is restricted, or the "gun". You can get an upper receiver anywhere you want

Sorry for bumping this thread, but if you don't mind Rokor, I have a question about the Madbull Hop up.

I read somewhere there was some fitment issues when using the Madbull Hop up + Guarder Clear + Python V2.

Can anyone confirm please?

Thank you very much!
