If you want to cheap out even more than just get a local newspaper and wrap the shit out of it and lots of tape. Its what Ive used when in a bind.

Off topic but does anybody know if CP offer cash on deliver shipping?

Sorry I'm blind.

Think I'll go for the newspaper option. It sounds deliciously ghetto and cost efficient.

Wait... Newspaper? That really works? Don't you get some look when you bring it into the post office...

Honestly, I just bought some supplies and it only costed me less than 6$ (Brown wrapping paper, packing tape from Canada Post)

Ive used it as a last ditch effort when I didn't have enough time to make it to the PO to pick up wrapping paper. Just give it a few layers and enough tape, you should be fine.

Just get the newspaper page with the cartoons, works best and it's always fun.

I shipped a box full of video games in a box of beer (24-beer pack). Without covering it. Just to see the facial expression of that CP employee was priceless.

I have received and sent parcels wrapped in pornographic material.

I ship all the guns I sell by turning the box inside out and taping it up. The box goes together easily because it's just a mirror of itself with all the right tabs in all the right places. I've yet to have a box I can't turn inside out and stays solid as is.

I do it for pistols, rifles, launchers.

No, you say "none of your business".

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw April 1st, 2010 07:41

I usually just say instrument/musical instrument/electronic equipment/music instrument. Saying "none of your business" to an employee that sometimes likes to peak into packages might not be the best idea. Its true you don't have to say anything, but why not save yourself some trouble?
