Huh, I wouldn't have thought they'd take 'Wood version' so far!

Seems they have a lot of work to do in those "~5" months or so, they estimated for release if that's all they have.

I would've expected at least a resin prototype of some sort.

8mm wooden mechbox. Wood inner and outer barrel, magazine is 8mm wooden bb's too.

Also powered with a charcoal battery and equipped with a tree bark sling.

Can it be upgraded to a 4 squirrel power motor though?

8mm actually is not more powerful... For a given mass of BB in 6mm and 8mm and a constant joule rating from the mechbox, the larger BB surface of 8mm = more air resistance = more energy lost to drag in flight.
BUT I STILL WANT!!!
